Horror Movie News: Bloody Axe Wounds releases this month. The Harry Potter series update

The holidays are all about upholding family traditions. Well, one may be excused for not keeping up with this particular tradition especially when it concerns blood.

Right after Christmas, on December 27th, get prepared to witness an unusual family tradition that takes place in a small town called Clover Falls.

Clover Falls comes with an interesting tagline of its own: Welcome to Clover Falls. Now go jump in a lake.

Below that, in graffiti you will find: and die.

This sets the tone for the upcoming horror movie BLOODY AXE WOUND.

The movie is a comedy horror that stars Sari Arambulo, Molly Brown, Eddie Leavy, Billy Burke, and Jeffery Dean Morgan who is also the producer alongside Hilarie Burton Morgan.

In the trailer, we see a shaky video recording of a woman crawling on the ground, trying to escape from a killer who is Jeffery Dean Morgan. There is someone standing by in a wolf mask, watching as the knife comes down on the woman.

Back in reality, we see a girl sitting across from a man whose face is scarred. He advises her not to wear that wolf mask again. The girl is disappointed.

We then learn that the girl and the man are in a family business of making videos of real-life murders. The man is her father and wants to revive the teen series which in this case means he wants to record teens getting murdered.

The girl is initially not into it but then again there are several students in her yearbook that she would like to see eliminated for being obnoxious and bullies.

One day, she sets her target on a girl who she soon develops a crush on. Unfortunately, her father wants the girl eliminated or else he will do it himself. The daughter is hesitant and goes to great lengths to try to save her. Can she save her crush on time or will she give in to her family traditions?

The movie will be released on December 27th and will then be released on Shudder.

In other news, the Harry Potter series is looking to cast actors, and an open call has been put out for children aged between 9 and 11 who are also residents of the UK and Ireland.

There are talks of Mark Rylance playing Albus Dumbledore, and Pappa Essiedeu playing Professor Severus Snape.

Reportedly, each season of the series will center on one book. While many fans have argued that the series is unnecessary and that the movies will forever be cherished, others believe that the series will include untold stories that could not be written due to running time constraints.

It will be interesting to see who is cast into which roles and whether or not the series can do justice to the well-loved series.

Several actors from the original movies have passed away, including Dame Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Sir Michael Gambon, and Robbie Coltrane.

Since auditions are reportedly going to take place in April 2025, chances are the Harry Potter series will be released on max in 2026.
