It is the year of the megalodon.  While Meg 2: The Trench, will release later this year, The Black Demon will hit screens later in April.

  PLOT SUMMARY: When Pete spends a birthday weekend with his friends, he begins to suspect they may be turning against him. Who doesn't enjoy a horror-comedy? You get an amalgam of two challenging yet entertaining genres in one movie. Perhaps that is why horror comedies are on the rise. Over the years there have been several horror comedy movies such as Shaun of the Dead, Scary Movie, Willy's Wonderland, Bloody Hell, The Trip, etc.

  This week's HORROR BOOK OF THE WEEK is WAIT TILL HELEN COMES.

  Jordan Peele’s fans have two reasons to celebrate next year.  Two horror films produced under Jordan Peele’s production house Monkeypaw Productions, will release in the second half of next year. 

Plot: Mila escapes her abusive husband. But when he is found dead, she becomes the prime suspect. Her hands trembled as she pulled up the blanket over her. The door suddenly opened and she jumped. "Mila?" Her sister Ravina poked her head in and smiled. But the minute her eyes rested on her face, it changed. She pushed open the door wider and went up to her. "It's okay. You are safe now," she said and sat beside her on the bed. Putting an arm around her, she kissed Mila on the side of her head. "He's not here. He doesn't know this place. Ranko and I will protect you." Ranko was Ravina's bodybuilder husband. He also owned a gym and trained boxers.  But he was a nice man who was no match for Hugo, the man Mila had unfortunately married. Hugo had been tough, persuasive, and what she believed, protective about her. After her parents died, she felt unsafe, and Hugo made her feel safe. Ravina did warn her she was too young to get marri

  PLOT SUMMARY: After receiving a letter about her mother's grave being vandalized, Marie travels to a desolate island with George. Once there, she learns the dark truth about her family. It isn't unusual to find a horror movie with a small town that has secrets. Like literally, be it even in horror TV shows, a small town has the most dangerous secrets one can imagine. And most of the time someone or the other in the town has conducted a black magic ritual either to save themselves or save the town from famine and disease.

  Plot: A man gets a peepscope with a comic book that tells a terrifying story. Remember the view master toy we had as kids? The ones that came with reels that told a short, mostly funny, story. It was a simple form of entertainment that we indulged in. The Milkman from Buried Hatchet Productions shows how a simple toy can turn deadly.

  This week’s Horror Book of the Week is THE CABINET OF DR. LENG. Written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, this is the 21st book in the Pendargast series. The book was published earlier this year and is on the bestsellers list for Occult Fiction and suspense. 

  When The Haunted Mansion released in 2003, it received negative reviews and thought to have performed badly at the box office.

  PLOT SUMMARY: Following an accident, after she loses part of her memory, Jennifer finds herself unable to trust her husband. Memories are so important to us. And they are important to movie makers as well it seems because the easiest thriller to make is to create a character, make them lose their memory and then deposit them in a situation where they find themselves in danger because they simply cannot remember the dangerous person. Here's another one.

Plot: A group of high school kids get involved in a deadly game of body search. They are forced to repeat the same day until they finish the game. In case you're wondering why the movie title Remember is written as such, it is supposed to be a clever play on the theme of the movie. In the movie, six high school students must assemble a dead girl's dismembered body to escape a deadly loop. But once the game is over, the participants will forget they were friends.

  This week’s HORROR BOOK OF THE WEEK is BRANDING AX. Written by Justin Fulkerson, the book weaves a tale of suspense with supernatural elements that is completed with gripping action sequences. 

  Fans of horror videogames rejoice! After the announcement of the movie adaptation of FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S, Blumhouse Productions is now coming up with an adaptation of another videogame: Dead by Daylight. 

  PLOT SUMMARY: Three African American women face difficulties at a predominantly white college. Our identity is everything to us. The minute we are born, we are integrated into culture, taught about religion and family heritage and after that, we go out into the world and create our futures.

  Plot: In the 1950s, a housewife goes to extreme lengths for her husband not realizing he has been having an affair behind her back. It is better not to keep a woman apart from her cupcakes as we find out in the horror short SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. In this short, we are taken back to the 1950s. A housewife is taking great pains to throw a successful party for her husband who prefers standing on the side with his mistress. Only the wife doesn’t know she’s the mistress yet. 

  This week’s Horror Book of the Week is THE ANGEL MAKER.   Written by Alex North, this novel was published in February by Celadon Books. This book is currently on the bestseller’s list for Horror Suspense and Serial Killer Thrillers. 

  1920, the horror series that was written by Vikram Bhatt is back with a fifth movie. 

  Plot Summary: Noa thinks she's found her perfect match in Steve until she learns why he really wants her. If you think about it, most of the stories we came across as kids and young adults were about love just happening. We were made to believe that love needs to be ingrained in one's destiny in order for one to find it.
