PLOT SUMMARY:  A family invites over their friends and relatives to celebrate one last Christmas before catastrophe hits.   Let's suppose you know exactly how you are about to die. There is no way to save yourself, all you can do is save yourself from extreme pain by taking a pill that will let you pass away peacefully. What would you do? Would you take the pill? Or would you be sceptical of what the government is telling you to do and see what is actually happening?

  This week’s Horror Book of the Week is THE EXORCIST’S HOUSE by Nick Roberts.  The book has been on the bestseller’s list for Occult Horror and Horror Suspense and has received positive reviews for its chilling sequences. 

  You have one night to do whatever you want. Crime is legal for the next 12 hours. What would you do? Commit a crime or save yourself from others who will? 

  Plot: In order to save her brother from imprisonment, Chloe fakes her own death to enter a morgue. Once inside, she realizes the coroner has been running a sick business on the side. 

PLOT SUMMARY: Melody and her friends accidentally awaken Leatherface's hunger for revenge and blood after an incident involving the house and his mother. We've officially entered the era of "requels", you know, the combination of reboot and sequel...requel. After Scream, we now have Texas Chainsaw Massacre gracing our screens with a story that has a new generation of characters, a legacy character and the introduction of a character that may lead the franchise forward.

  This week’s HORROR BOOK OF THE WEEK is PARTING THE VEIL by Paulette Kennedy.

Plot: Tara and Sam leave Woodsboro to start a new life in New York. But darkness has followed them there. The first movie title you would think of when talking about slasher movies would be SCREAM. The nineties brought forth several horror franchises, but the most popular one was SCREAM.

Plot: The origin story of Velma, a member from Mystery Inc.  Which millennial has not grown up watching Scooby Doo? It was part of a staple diet of cartoons we got to watch on our holidays.  It was our initiation to mysteries and detective shows. 

  Visiting hospitals can be daunting. Now imagine being trapped in one. 

  Plot: Jake, Devon, and Lexy are sent to a boarding school following an incident with Chucky and Jake's foster brother. Mayhem ensues when Chucky arrives at their school. CHUCKY season 2 has been one thrilling, yet wacky ride. There were possessions aplenty and exorcisms. New characters were introduced but not all made it to the end.

  Plot: Parker and Miri head to the lake house during the pandemic. But they are not alone. 

  PLOT SUMMARY: When Rose wakes up, she realizes she has lost her memory. Luckily she has her mum and her boyfriend to help her but dome things about her life just don't add up. Ever since Misery, a movie where a writer is kidnapped by his Number One Fan, there have been several similar themed stories where the protagonist may have a different career or gender but the antagonist is always this crazy woman with stern ideals. Remember Me will remind you of Misery and of a perhaps little-known movie but one that was horrifying, Besetment .

  This week’s Horror Book of the Week title goes to RUN ON RED .  This suspenseful horror fiction is written by Noelle W. Ihli and was published last November. 

  You might just want to be careful who you invite into your homes, restaurants, support meetings, etc.  Not everyone is a normal human being. 

  PLOT SUMMARY: When Jordan and Leigh get a chance to meet their idol Harper Dutch, they are unaware of the danger they are getting themselves into. Imagine the person you idolize the most is the one you get to work with. A dream come true, isn't it? But here's the thing about the celebrities we idolize; we never really know the real them. They could really be as charming as they portray themselves in public, or they could have a hidden side that not many are aware of. That side of them that they keep private could be as good as their public image or not.

  This week’s HORROR BOOK OF THE WEEK is PROWL .  Written by Elizabeth Myrva, the book is a fantasy-romance short story. 

  The trailer for EVIL DEAD RISE has dropped and well, que sera sera.  The movie is the new film in the EVIL DEAD franchise and tells the story of a woman visiting her sister and niece and nephews. The infamous book that was used to summon deadbites which causes people to become possessed, shows up in the house. Chaos ensues. 

  2023 is here, horror fans! 

  Plot: When Bhaskar visits the jungles o f Arunachal for a project, he comes across a local legend that threatens to derail his plans. First it was Stree . Then Roohi . And now Bhediya. The universe has indeed gotten bigger and better.
