Hypnotic-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Jenn begins going to Dr Collin Meade for therapy not realizing he has nefarious intentions for her.  I've come to realise that more often than not, good direction can turn a film into a great viewing experience and a box office success. Take any story, clichéd as it may be, and execute it properly and the movie will be a hit. However, shoddy direction will do the opposite. The story could be compelling, the cast could be great but if the direction is off then the story could look ridiculous, the actors would appear to be amateurs and chances are you will want to stop watching the movie.

I am the Pretty Thing That Lives in The House-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Lily is a nurse who goes to take care of her patient Iris at her mansion. To her horror she discovers the mansion is haunted. As a writer, sometimes it's hard to find inspiration. It's hard to get in the "zone" where a writer must simply let themselves immerse in a story and forget about the rest of the world. Now wouldn't it be easy to simply report an incident and turn it into a book?

There's Someone Inside Your House--My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: A graduating class is targeted by a serial killer who exposes their darkest secrets before killing them while wearing a mask that resembles the victims.  Everyone has secrets. Everyone has that one incident in their past that defines their present and has formed their personality. And of course, a secret is never hidden forever. Someone or the other always finds out and either uses blackmail or murder to get that secret out.

HELLIONS--My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: On Halloween Night, Dora must survive an attack from malevolent creatures that seem to want her unborn baby.  I would like to believe there was a time when children could go trick or treating on Halloween without looking over their shoulders. All they had to do was dress up in the costumes of their favorite, heroes (or whatever object or animal they admired), carry a bag and knock on peoples' houses for candy.

Halloween Kills-- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Michael Myers survives the trap Laurie laid out for her and is on a killing spree once again.  Whether or not we've seen all the Halloween films, we have, as horror fans, heard of Michael Myers. Michael Myers is portrayed as a strong, tall man who wears a white mask. All he does is kill. His reasons for doing so are never properly examined and those who have tried are criticised. Michael is just thought to be this unstoppable, evil force in horror cinema and that's that. Don't keep asking why this seemingly human figure likes to kill. He just likes to, okay? Halloween Kills is a direct sequel to Halloween. Now over the years, there have been Halloween movies that sometimes feature that Laurie and Michael are siblings and sometimes they are not. Michael has been defeated several times but he always manages to stand again in the last scene of every movie. Michael Myers is indestructible, okay? Don't think about why or how. So Halloween Kills is a sequel

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

We’ve all heard of the vernacular phase: Jekyll and Hyde. Or perhaps Good cop, Bad cop.  All of it comes from a novella Robert Louis Stevenson wrote in 1886.

Bingo Hell--My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When their beloved Bingo Hall is taken over by a mysterious man, Lupita, and her friends must band together to get rid of the threat. Are you feeling lucky? Then what would be the first thing you do? How about a bit of gambling? Imagine winning a large cash prize. Nothing like it, isn't it? Definitely solves most of life's problems. While most gambling games can be complicated, the easiest game to play is bingo. We've played that since we were kids, haven't we? Of course, at that time a game won at bingo entailed a toy as a prize. Or a set of glasses. Or a display piece. It was only later when we realized we could play bingo with money as well.

Scream-- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After teens are attacked by Ghostface, Sidney Prescott is called to help bring the killer down. Do you know what a requel is? Yes, it is a new term coined to explain what this Scream is about and the new characters take ten minutes to explain what this movie is supposed to be.

Horror Weekly News: Winne the Pooh turns scary. Stephen King announces new novella.

Remember the stories we read and the cartoons we watched of this lovable bear who craved honey and help his friends and tagged along with his human friend Christopher Robin wherever he went?  Well, Winnie the Pooh is now making his entrance in horror movies, along with Piglet, the timid little character everyone took an instant liking to.

No One Gets Out Alive-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Ambar enters the country illegally in order to make a life for herself. But when she takes a room in a boarding house, she soon discovers the dangers that lurk inside.  What are dreams? Theoretically, they are just images and our feelings and responses. It was also thought that dreams were a way to get rid of unwanted memories. Either way, chances are you probably don't remember every detail of your dream upon waking up. And when you do, you remember bits and pieces of it. Dreams also rarely work like a movie where the story flows continuously and is meaningful. How many dreams can you remember that played out as a story with a beginning, middle and end? No one gets out alive is mostly about dreams. The horror part in the movies are dreams induced by the dark entity that wants to consume people.
