FROM-- My take on Season One with Spoilers!

Plot: In a mysterious town, any one who visits is immediately trapped. When night falls, creatures from the forest threaten all those who live in the town.  There hasn’t been a good horror show in a long time and when FROM released, expectations were low. The show clearly suffers from a weak marketing strategy and since the title is a generic word, it doesn’t yield many results on social media, nor would you find fandom pages for it.  At first glance, the show appears to be sci-fi, and haven’t we already seen a show where people are trapped in one place and must use whatever resources they have to survive?  So what makes FROM different?

Kana From Hell: Part Five

Toshihiro was once the most powerful man in the country. He had become emperor at a very young age, was married off quickly to produce heirs, and had several loyal men who followed his every command. He never abused the trust of anyone and ruled the country with a firm hand but also with kindness. The people loved him and revered him for being just in his actions.

Umma-- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Amanda lives a quiet life in a farm with her daughter Chris. Her life is upturned when she receives her mother's remains. There are movies with great stories, made greater by great actors. Then there are mediocre stories made great by great actors. And of course the terrible stories, terrible acting and terrible direction. Umma faces one of those situations where it doesn't matter what the story is and whether it is effectively scary or not. The main characters, Amanda, played by Sandra Oh, is simply too overpowering. Not once do you feel like you are watching a woman haunted by her past.  You see Sandra Oh all the way. Her personality shines through the unassuming character she is supposed to be playing. The story is decidedly boring and not executed properly. Sandra Oh doesn't fully meld into her character. All these factors work against the movie. UMMA Movie Plot Amanda awakens from a nightmare involving a broken lamp and exposed wires and gashes on han

MONSTROUS-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Laura moves into a secluded new house with her son Cody, she soon finds herself dealing with a monster from the pond nearby. A lot of philosophers will say that the biggest enemy a person has is their own thoughts. Anger and fear especially are two emotions that can debilitate a person, consuming them until they are incapable of living their life. Their loss of control over their emotions is what stops them from living a fulfilling life. So in a way, we become our own enemies. We stop ourselves from being truly happy and healing from traumatic events. We hold onto anger and fear and grief and forget that as time passes, so must our reaction.
