  Mother knows best. Or do they? Boris Bacic’s latest release MOTHER KNOWS BEST is this week’s Horror Book Find. 

  There’s something in the water! No, don’t worry, the water isn’t contaminated or anything. That’s the title of the latest shark movie that will release this year. 

  Welcome to one of the world’s scariest places: Hotel Chelsea.  This week’s Horror Book pick is HOTEL CHELSEA written by Jeremy Bates. The novel is part of a seven book series titled World’s Scariest Places. 

  Hear how it all began.  In 2018, A Quiet Place left a lasting impression on the audience with its crisp writing, frightening concept and impeccable acting performances by the cast. 

  MADHOUSE by Miguel Estrada is this week’s Horror Book Find. The tagline is what drew me in and prompted me into clicking on the book’s link. Of course, it helps that the cover gave off an eerie vibe too.  Don’t Talk to Strangers. 

  Plot: In a small town, a twelve year old girl gets all the other children to stand up to the adults who are threatening their future. We have seen small girls in horror movies being tricked and possessed. The whole first half of a movie is usually dedicated to the side characters in the movie, wondering if that little girl is really possessed or not. There will be glimpses of the girl doing something she wouldn't have if a demon wasn't possessing her. CHILDREN OF THE CORN shows how terrifying little waylaid girls can truly be.

  You have been warned.  THE FIRST OMEN is going to be the most terrifying movie of the year. 

  The Ghost Illusion by Kat Martin is on the Kindle bestsellers list of Horror Suspense and Suspense.  The book was released on September 2023 and has received positive reviews so far with most of them being about the author writing a gripping, suspenseful novel with the perfect touch of the paranormal.  Many readers too, have given similar reviews and complimented the author for her story-building techniques as well as writing a story that perfectly balanced the paranormal and romance setting in a horror novel.  There were negative reviews that were mostly focused on the forced relationship between the main characters and the overly descriptive sentences used in the story.  Check out these Easter deals under $10 Quick Review of THE GHOST ILLUSION based on sample The first few chapters of the book, usually give the reader an idea of whether or not they would want to continue reading the book, or want to DNF it. In some cases, the sample chapters can make you want to put it in the TBR

  Plot: An influencer returns to his childhood home with his family and gets embroiled in a mystery concerning his father. After the birth of a child, we see a woman cope with her new responsibilities and, most often, being overwhelmed by it. Some women even experience depression episodes, and in movies and shows, we see them struggle trying to cope with it.

  What do the cards have in store for you today? Tarot cards have been used to tell the future. Each cards tell a story and each card that is picked, especially in a sequence, is used to give guidelines on what your future holds. 

  You may have heard of the nursery rhyme of Jack and Jill. They went up the hill to fetch a pail of water and ended up tumbling down.  Now imagine if this nursery rhyme was given the horror treatment?

  Plot: Chloe undergoes an experimental procedure that leads her to have hallucinations about her mother, who disappeared. Losing someone can be torturous. But when you don't know what happened to your loved one and where they disappeared off to, that is plain agony. THE UNHEARD has an interesting story, but unfortunately, it drags, and the mystery is a tad too predictable. 

  Sometimes a movie comes along, creates an impact and becomes successful. The audience is thrilled by it and the other filmmakers think, why not make it in a different language, with known stars and bring it to a wider audience.
