Halloween Ends-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT: Laurie and Michael come face to face for the fina l battle. First of all, the memes of this movie are completely accurate. The movie is mostly about a new character that was introduced in the movie. No, he wasn't in any of the previous movies. He is Corey, a new character that features in pretty much every frame and so for fans of the Halloween franchise who were anticipating an exciting showdown between Laurie and Michael, they will be disappointed. The trailer may have featured the iconic characters, but the movie focuses on Michael's influence and the fear he has created. It is about Laurie and her guilt as people blame her for instigating Michael which causes the death of several people in the town. But yeah, mostly it is about Corey. HALLOWEEN ENDS PLOT The year is 2019 and it is a Halloween night. No, we don't get to see Michael Myers just yet. It's Corey. He's about to go to college and he's spending his time babysitting before he leaves. His

LOT 36-- My take on the episode with spoilers!

PLOT: A man finds that the storage unit he won in an auction, holds valuable items and terrifying secrets. There's always that one character in a horror movie that warns the others to not mess around with Ouija boards and demon-summoning rituals. Of course, no one listens to this reasonable character and not only performs the ritual but also drags said reasonable character into their whole mess.

For the first time, THE SIMPSONS have decided to give horror fans an additional treat.  While every season (except for the first one) on The Simpsons has included a horror anthology episode titled TREEHOUSE OF HORROR, this year fans of the show get a whole horror episode parodying an epic horror novel written by famed horror author STEPHEN KING.

THE WASTELAND/ El Páramo-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Diego and his mother Lucia are haunted by a beast when their father is away. But does the beast really exist? There was a time before technology and before electricity. A time when people chose to live away from people and believed in monsters. It was also a time when kids were taught to play hand-clapping games and sing along to a man called Mr Frederico who chops up his wife and eats her. Times were hard then and children were made to toughen up by giving them guns and telling them horrific stories of people committing suicide. Fortunately, we live in modern times where children are spared all this.

There’s nothing more relaxing than doing a bit of gardening, planting a few flowers, and then watching them all grow.  But then you dig up the soil, and guess what? You find a box of something that doesn’t belong to you. Should you open it? Well, of course, curiosity trumps everything. Chances are that what you may find some trinkets or letters or something else the previous owners clearly didn’t care enough to take with them.  In a horror movie, though, what you may find won’t be harmless.  WITHERED PLOT with SPOILERS A man is having a fun day of gardening when he digs up a hole and finds a box that somehow has remained intact all these years.  He opens it to find a photo frame of a woman who looks super cheerful in a dress. The Accursed-- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Twenty years after Hana and her bloodline were cursed by Aishe, her son's wife purposely sets it free which has dire consequences for everyone. Traditions are everything. Each family upholds their traditions, especially during special occasions. Then there are witches who have their own little community where they don't allow just anyone to enter because to them, not everyone understands their traditions and rules.

Clowns were always supposed to be funny and make people laugh with their atrocious makeup and hair, oversized clothes and shoes, and exaggerated mannerisms. But it's no surprise that some can find people in too much make-up actually scary. Depends on how you do your make-up, isn’t it?

This week’s Horror Book of the Week is Alice Hoffman’s MAGIC LESSONS: THE PREQUEL TO PRACTICAL MAGIC.

The Deep House-- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Ben and Tina think they've found the perfect opportunity to increase their following on social media when they come across an underwater house to film. But then they discover its dark secrets. We all love a good haunted house story and there have been so many books and movies about them to satisfy our tastes. But how many underwater haunted houses have we read about or watched? The Deep House brings new fear into the genre. Not only will the characters have to deal with ghosts in a house but also the risk of running out of oxygen.
