Chucky Season 2 Episode 1-- My take on the episode with Spoilers!

 He’s back…

I mean, he did promise to be friends till the end, did he not?

Chucky, is finally back with Season 2, and the first episode did not disappoint.

CHUCKY SEASON 2 EPISODE 1 PLOT AND SPOILERS

The last time we saw Jake, Devon and Lexy, are still reeling from the after effects of the massacre at the theatre. Junior is dead, and Lexy has taken to abusing drugs.

Jake has a new foster family and foster brother Gary who fondly calls him Batman. Devon is still moping about living apart from Jake. They do meet however and share a kiss, something Jake’s family does not approve of.

Come Halloween night, and Chucky is back but the unsuspecting teens don’t know that yet. Jake receives a call from an unknown number, asking him if Tamara is home, a line from the Horror Movie THE STRANGERS.

Jake believes he’s being pranked until he calls Devon who too has received calls from a stranger who sounds familiar.

Soon enough, they get that Chucky is back and after them, and they try to call Lexy who is taking drugs and being intimate with a guy. Lexy’s sister Caroline, unwittingly lets a stranger into the house who keeps an eye on Lexy.

Devon calls the police and has them sent to Lexy’s house. She’s saved but panics upon learning that Chucky has returned.

The next day Lexy, her sister and her mother are attending therapy. The therapist gifts Caroline a doll to help her get over her fear of killer dolls. Lexy suspects the doll looks familiar.

The friends regroup and after Jake reprimands her for abusing, they get to the main problem: Chucky. Lexy has bashed the doll several times, yet she is now sleeping with Caroline who was quick to get over her fear of dolls. Or did she?

We do get to see her pull a knife out and stare at her reflection. Uh-oh…

The next morning, Lexy is busy snorting in the bathroom while Devon and Jake are held prisoners in the living room. Chucky has arrived with Gary and a homemade bomb that he promises to detonate once Lexy comes downstairs.

Jake warns Lexy via text but she’s bust shooting stuff up her nose.

When she comes down, Devon manages to use his taser on Chucky who lets go of the bomb only for Gary to pick it up. Gary runs with the bomb but becomes stunned seeing Caroline’s new doll which looks like the Bride of Chucky doll.

Chucky comes up behind Gary and detonates the bomb. The resulting smoke seems to have Chucky’s face on it.

Cut to the next scene and we see the trio unscathed by the incident. The therapist advises that they be sent to the Catholic School of the Incarnate Lord.

The three should have been separated to keep them out of trouble but somehow they are sent alone on the bus.

Lexy casually mentions that her childhood bully Trevor was sent here. The dialogue looks a bit out of place and seems to be added in the last minute here. It doesn’t even come up in the flow of a conversation. Lexy just mentions it out of nowhere.

But the episode is about to end so that means we will see Trevor next episode.

The friends then recognize the house as the very one a young Charles Lee Ray was sent to. Great, so Chucky knows his way around then.

Right after they enter, a doll-sized package is delivered too. Now is that really Chucky coming in as a package?

Probably. How else is a doll going to roam around the premises and terrorize three teens?

The first episode of this season was thrilling and fast-paced. Chucky likes to kill, and the writers wasted no time in getting rid of one character in the very first episode.

A definite good start to the season.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
