Horror Weekly News: Bhediya teaser drops. Nosferatu gets a new cast.

A new installment to the D.V. horror universe is here.

After the success of movies Stree and Roohi, the audience will be treated to a brand new tale based on the folklore from Arunachal Pradesh.

Titled BHEDIYA, the movie stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

While the trailer will drop on 19th October, a teaser has dropped showing a wolf chasing a man through a forest and another scene that appears to show a wolf being either conjured or revered by some people.

Rumor has it that the bhediya, is actually a werewolf in this case.

Interestingly, the movie is rumored to feature characters from Stree and Roohi and possibly show a connection between all these characters.

It is also rumored that Varun Dhawan's Bhaskar, will feature in the upcoming movies of the D.V horror universe.

A movie titled MUNJHA is also in production that is supposed to be a prequel to Stree and depicts the origin story of the unknown girl that Shraddha Kapoor played.

MUNJHA is rumored to feature Bhaskar and Aanika, the name of the character played by Kriti Sanon.

BHEDIYA is set to release on November 25th.

In other news

There's another Nosferatu movie coming to your screens.

After the 1922 version, followed by the 1979 version and then several remakes and reboots, we get a brand new movie.

NOSFERATU will be written and directed by Robert Eggers.

The movie was initially going to feature Anya Taylor Joy and Harry Styles.

But now Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgård will take over the main roles.

Nosferatu is about a vampire who develops affection for a woman who is married. After trapping her husband he goes to find her and brings along death and destruction.

Towards the end, the woman decides to sacrifice her life by letting the vampire feed on her. He gets so distracted, he barely notices when the sun comes up. The vampire perishes when the sun rays hit him.

Elsewhere the husband has turned into a vampire after the vampire feeds on him.

The new movie currently has no release date set.

It will be interesting to see if the new movie will take a different route to the original story.
