Chucky Season 2-- My take on the TV show with spoilers!

Plot: Jake, Devon, and Lexy are sent to a boarding school following an incident with Chucky and Jake's foster brother. Mayhem ensues when Chucky arrives at their school.

CHUCKY season 2 has been one thrilling, yet wacky ride. There were possessions aplenty and exorcisms. New characters were introduced but not all made it to the end.

Fortunately, the original characters made it out alive. Phew! I mean, obviously, they were going to. How else are we going to get a Season 3?

CHUCKY SEASON 2 RECAP

When we saw Andy last, he was driving away with a truck full of Chucky dolls. He is held at gunpoint by a Tiffany doll. Andy drives off the cliff.

Cut to six months later, and Jake is living with a foster family. He misses Devon but can't risk making a public show of his relationship  in front of his conservative family.

Unable to keep apart Devon and Jake do meet up and publicly kiss. Lexy has made no contact with them.

Jake receives a call from someone who sounds like Chucky and gets cautious.

Lexy's sister Caroline has to meet with a therapist Dr Mixter who understands the trauma the girl went through and gives her a doll that looks like Tiffany. Again, this scene has meaning. Wait until the end...

Lexy is wary of it and beats it up but the doll doesn't react. She tries to convince Caroline to give it up but that doesn't work either.

Jake informs his friends who regroup but unfortunately Chucky is too strong for them.

He brings a bomb with him and while the trio are able to restrain him, Chucky frees himself and as Gary, Jake's foster younger brother runs with the bomb, Chucky activates it, causing an explosion with thick green smoke.

The trio are held responsible and sent to a boarding school called Incarnate Lord. While in the bus, they realize that the boarding school was the same one where Charles Lee Ray went to. This information has value that us understood much later in the season.

Lexy points out that her school bully Trevor was sent there too. She has reservations about meeting him.

Now, unbeknownst to her friends, Lexy has been abusing substances.

While the trio are shown their rooms, there is a special delivery sent to the school. The box looks like a doll could fit into...a Chucky-sized doll.

Next we see what Tiffany is up to. Last we saw her amputate Nica who now has no limbs and is wheelchair-bound.

Tiffany wakes up with a head of a doll and screams. She confronts Nica who asks how she could possibly do that considering she has no arms. What Tiffany doesn't know is that Chucky has been possessing Nica and they have been plotting to bring down Tiffany.

Later, a detective comes by asking about Nica's whereabouts considering Jennifer Tilly was the last person to see her on her visit to the mental facility. When the detective, asks too many questions, Tiffany realizes she has to do away with him. But that is when her kids Glen and Glenda come.

At Incarnate Lord, the trio meet Father Bryce who is super strict and also Devon Sawa who played dual roles last season and returned in a new avatar this season.

Lexy meets her roommate Nadine who is perky but confesses she is a klepto. Trevor is seen as the altar boy and appears to have reformed.

Chucky comes out of his doll box, scaring a nun who was busy noting items for donation. Chucky lauds himself for achieving this feat.

During the investigation, Jake notices the Chucky doll in the office and decides to confront it, except Father Bryce comes at exactly that moment. He is punished for his misconduct. Chucky flees from there, taking a photo of Jake. Then he photographs Lexy taking drugs.

Jake and Devon manage to apprehend him and tie him up. They check his phone and wonder why he has not attacked them but only taken pictures. They find only one number on his phone, that of someone named Colonel.

Jake wants to see if he can turn bad Chucky into good through aversion therapy. Basically,, they show him violent stuff and put drops in his eyes to irritate him. Eventually Chucky pukes (a lot) when he sees violent stuff. Jake believes he has been transformed. Devon argues that Chucky will always be Chucky.

The two argue and eventually Jake kisses him on the stairs that is witnessed by Father Bryce.

Lexy doesn't know what to think and gets her cravings. Good Chucky and Nadine bond but then she leaves.

Another Chucky doll is delivered to the school while the Good Chucky ends up at Father Bryce's office so that the kids don't get into trouble. Father Bryce had already punished Devon and made him clean the church.

Trevor, who is still pissed off at Lexy for being the reason he is at this school, plans his revenge. He plants drugs in her room. But the other Chucky comes in and pretty much pulls his heart out.

The new four friends arrive and are shocked to see Trevor's body. At that moment, there is a room inspection taking place and they quickly hide Trevor's body along with the boys who cannot be in the girls' room. Nadine and Lexy lay down a blanket on the blood puddle and pretend to play with stuffed toys.

Good luck getting that blanket cleaned.

New Chucky comes to see a transformed Chucky and his shirt has been torn to showcase his abs.

Just how did the doll end up with such a buff body?

There is a respite from the going-ons at school to focus on what Tiffany is up to.

Glen and Glenda want a party and have invited Jennifer's sister Meg and friends Gina Gershon, Joe Pantoliano, and Sutton Stracke. They have a butler called Jeeves who makes distasteful remarks about what Glen and Glenda are. Everyone else stands up for Glen and Glenda.

Later, Jeeves is found dead and Tiffany finds herself trying to hide his body to avoid problems but the guests still see the body and a lie is made up that a murder mystery game is underway.

What Tiffany doesn't know is that Glen has been helping Nica to escape after the twins found Nica all tied up in the house. They also know that Chucky resides inside her.

Nica escapes with Glenda while Glen stays behind with Tiffany.

Chucky reveals Glenda killed Jeeves before killing Liv Morgan who is on his talk show.

We return to Good Chucky and Brawny Chucky having a fight. The door to the office is locked and Jake desperately wants to get in so he can help Good Chucky even though Devon isn't too convinced about the Chucky transformation.

Good Chucky insists he is going to defend his friends no matter what and even as he is beaten up, he manages to gain the upperhand and use knives to pin Chucky on the wall. The door opens and Jake cheers Good Chucky on while Devon frowns.

Lexy and Nadine have a moment in the bathroom when Lexy considers giving into her addiction. Nadine talks her out of it by revealing her mother had overdosed. The girls bond and when they return to the room, Trevor's body is gone.

The friends gather and think the Chuckys are being helped. Jake and Nadine pamper Good Chucky while Devon and Lexy refuse to believe he has reformed.

The group separates.

Meanwhile, Father Bryce wants to expel Jake and Devon because he thinks they were responsible for pinning Chucky on the wall so that it looks like he has been crucified. Dr Mixter claims she can still help them while a nun explains that they are here to help the kids not punish them.

Sister Ruth is tasked with disposing of the doll. Of coursethat Chucky emerges from the trashcan in front of her and she believes him to be an incarnation. Brawny Chucky lets her believe that s,o he can manipulate her.

Elsewhere, Glen and Glenda are experiencing the same nightmares that is basically a scene from Seed of Chucky. Glen questions Tiffany about it who refuses to divulge anything unless Nica's whereabouts are known to her.

Meg is still in the house and doubts whether Jennifer is really her sister. She mentions the Dean brothers and Tiffany evades it before running downstairs to talk to the doll that has Jennifer's soul inside it. Jennifer is elated that her sister is there but then tells Tiffany she is sick of giving all the hard-earned money she makes from voiceovers and poker.

Still, she tells Tiffany about the Dean brothers which is obviously incorrect. Tiffany is enraged and goes to scold her but is followed by Glen and Meg who are shocked to find a moving and talking doll.

Meg and Tiffany argue and fight resulting in Meg being murdered. Glen wants to know who she is and Tiffany assures her that she is her mother. Tiffany plans an escape since too many murders have taken place in this house. The house is burned down and Tiffany drives away with Glen and Jennifer.

Devon and Lexy go through Good Chucky's phone and find selfies of him in the woods. They go there and realize it may be the site of the truck crash. Several Chucky heads are placed around in spears and hanging from trees. It's a full-blown Chucky nightmare!

The two come upon a cabin and are shocked to find a bald Chucky working with Dr Mixter to torture Andy.

They decide to free him. The more allies the better, right?

Andy is initially distrustful of them but then allows them to take him away. He claims the Colonel is insane and killing the other Chuckys.

Lexy and Devon pretend to be helping a homeless man as Father Bryce reprimands them for breaking curfew. They are allowed to bring Andy in who plays the part of a homeless man well because of his unkempt appearance.

We learn that Nica was brought to Kyle who is unhappy with her new hairstyle. Nica turns to Chucky and snatches the gun from Kyle and hands it to Glenda so they can kill Kyle. Glenda gives back the gun.

Nica returns and tries on her new arms.

Sister Ruth tells Father Bryce about Chucky coming to life and possibly being divine but he refuses to believe her.

Brawny Chucky is killed by the Colonel and a shattered Sister Ruth wants revenge.

Andy manages to get to the Colonel and kill him but chaos ensues as Dr Mixter tries to muddle up everything but holds everyone at gunpoint.

Realizing that the Colonel is dead, she takes Good Chucky in her possession and locks everyone inside a room.

Andy manages to break down the door and go after Dr Mixter who shoots at the nun and knocks out Andy. Good Chucky manages to get away.

We had previously seen Good Chucky stab a fly and not feel remorse or aversion to that kind of violence. When Jake had questioned him, he did tell him that the day was young. Jake should have known...

Nadine goes after Good Chucky up the tower and tries to get him to come to her arms. Good Chucky asks if she is a fairy because fairies can fly. He pushes Nadine through the window and she falls on the statue below.

The friends are devastated, especially Lexy who lost her boyfriend last season, and then her best friend this season. Cut her a break, will you?

It is decided that an exorcism will take place to move Chucky's soul to hell. Before that, they must all make confessions. Father Bryce tries to take permission from the Vatican who excommunicates him instead. Who is going to believe his Chucky story anyway. And now even he knows the doll is alive and possessed.

Each of them make confessions one by one.

Lexy can't handle the grief and takes her pills. Nadine appears, looking angelic and advises her to be strong and take the help of her friends to get over her addiction.

During the exorcism preliminaries, Chucky bites Father Bryce, causing the blood to ooze.

Nica who is also present sees blood and transforms into Chucky. Kyle punches her hard so that she turns back to Nica.

Chucky is made to wear a muzzle and locked in a cabinet while the preparations go underway. Glenda wants to know about her origins but Chucky tries to convince her to free him. Realizing he's only manipulating her, she walks away.

Nica is blindfolded so that the sight of blood doesn’t keep bringing Chucky out.

The exorcism is performed finally and Chucky levitates. Then suddenly he falls down. He doesn't move and everyone thinks the exorcism was successful. Turns out Chucky entered Father Bryce.

But he doesn't intend to stay in there for long and he explodes, splattering blood everywhere. For a comic effect, the explosion is shown in different angles. Nica helplessly asks if the exorcism was successful.

Chucky the doll is up and Jake quickly restrains it only for Sister Ruth to enter with Lexy held at gunpoint. But Dr Mixter leaves with Chucky and Glenda manages to kill Sister Ruth.

Andy manages to get to Chucky and finally vent out his frustrations and kill him. Dr Mixter escapes.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Tilly is wanted for murder and can't escape her stardom. She can't even get proper food without people asking her for selfies. It doesn't matter if she is wanted.

Tiffany explains she plans to switch bodies with the doll. Jennifer freaks out and loosens her ties. Glenda distracts Tiffany so Jennifer can escape.

Tiffany follows her out by Jennifer is hit by a truck and splatters everywhere.

They ride back to the school and Nica points a gun at Tiffany. Glen jumps in front of her and gets shot.  No matter what kind of person she is, Tiffany is her mother after all.

Nica didn't mean for this to happen and cries. Tiffany and Glenda rush to the hospital. But Glen is serious and Glenda is upset.

Tiffany disguises herself as a doctor to see Glen and the nurses don't bother to check if she is really a doctor or not. Devastated at learning about her condition, Tiffany advises that Glen and Glenda's soul be transferred into the original doll that Tiffany had kept safe since the events of Seed of Chucky.

When the doctors come to check on their patient, they find both twins laying lifeless on the bed.

Tiffany dresses up the doll who wants to be called G.G. They want to travel to England to learn more about their roots. Tiffany can't understand what roots they are talking about but allows them to travel via post. They are a doll after all.

Meanwhile, Lexy tries to get Jake and Devon to talk again after the whole Good Chucky fiasco. Devon is Jake's Christmas present and all he wants is to spend time with him. Jake excuses himself because he wasn't prepared to exchange presents with him. He brings back a podcast system but Devon informs him he's not into it anymore. However he is still into Jake.

The three of them have Christmas dinner at Lexy's house. Her mother isn't psyched to have Jake and Devon there though. Lexy tries to bond with her mother but it only sort of works.

The three are having a sleepover and are certain the Chucky threat is over after Andy killed the doll.

But Chucky is Chuck, always two steps ahead. He had transferred his soul into Dr Mixter who had a Good Guy doll with her. Then he transferred into that doll and left Dr Mixter's body causing her to die.

Chucky decides to get a Christmas present for himself and goes through a catalog. He finds the perfect present: a silent chainsaw.

The first thing he does is drop down the chimney in a Christmas Hat. The next thing he does is use his new gift on Lexy's mother, cutting her in half.

This time Lexy has had it and in true action hero form, jumps on Chucky and slaughters him.

But the twists don't end there. Tiffany has returned and has decided not to save Chucky from being killed by Lexy. Her focus is on retrieving the doll that Lexy's mother had used in her Christmas decorations and aired it for news channels for everyone to see.

She tries to get the doll, is stopped by the trio only for Caroline to reveal herself as an aide.

The small girl was lied into believing that Tiffany is her real mother and Lexy isn’t even her sister. Lexy's words fall on deaf ears and Caroline leaves with Tiffany much to Lexy's shock.

The police come to check on them in the morning and Jake tells them that Jennifer Tilly was behind all the destruction and the murder of Lexy's mother. The detective seems to believe this story.

Later, Miss Fairchild, Jake's teacher from last season pops up. She not only offers condolences but offers to take them in. None of the parents of guardians have survived. What are Miss Fairchild's chances? We may find out next season.

Some time later, Tiffany and Caroline are in New York. Nica gives her a call and assures her she didn't mean to hurt Glen. She also tells her she is coming to get her. Nica is watching out the window and grinning.

Tiffany picks up a book titled Voodoo for Dummies and gets to work to transfer her soul into Caroline's doll.

The transfer spell doesn’t work and Tiffany has little time to ponder before the doll wakes up. She begins to run off her make up. It is Chucky in disguise!

Pretty smart move. Remember Dr Mixter had given Caroline the doll in the first episode of the season?

Chucky lunges at Tiffany and Caroline smirks.

The final episode ends with Chucky recapping all the deaths of the season but is told he doesn't have enough time to play it with the Christmas song.

He goes through it quickly and it is obvious that his favorite death was  Liv Morgan's.

Chucky Season 2 was full of thrills, twists and surprises. No one is safe when Chucky is around. Seriously, how many people has he killed so far?

There is a very good chance we will see a season 3 considering how well-received by critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, season 2 holds a 91% rating.,

Bring on Season 3!!

Scare Scale: 4.5/5

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
