The Haunted Empath-- Excerpt
Jadeline could feel a flutter in her eyes. She opened the car door and got out.
“Hey!” she screamed with whatever energy remained.
Charging forward she focused on what she wanted to ask rather than blame him for taking her health and peace of mind away. It didn’t help that Hedson looked even more handsome and that he had gained all of his vigor, whereas she was huffing for breath in the five strong steps she had taken.
He pulled down his sunglasses with one finger, saw her, and ushered his companion into his luxury sports car.
Jadeline picked up a rock by the parking lot and grasped it tightly in her raised hand, aiming for his car.
“Get in and I’ll break your car!” she warned.
“Will you calm down?” he said, raising his arms in truce.
“What did you do to me?” Jadeline demanded. “You ruined my life!”
Ruth joined her and stood before him. “How dare you play games with my sister!”
“I have no idea...”
“Four people are dead because of her. Because of you!” Jadeline pointed a finger at his chest.
Hedson removed his sunglasses, looking at her in shock. “She’s still here? I was told you could vanquish ailments into another dimension.”
