TV shows to look forward to: Midnight Mass
The Midnight Mass trailer is here, finally filling the blanks left by the teaser.
We see a man returning to Crockett Island a long time after causing an accident in which a girl died whose image still haunts him.
Crockett Island seems like an ideal place with a strong community bond. There is forgiveness and support and friendship.
Things seem to change a bit when a young priest comes to the Island. He challenges the faith of the people, encouraging a disabled girl to walk again.
Things soon get weird. Birds and cats are found dead on the beach. A terrifying storm approaches, throwing everything into turmoil.
So what exactly is going on? We will find out only on September 24th on Netflix.
But before that, let's not ignore the fact that the premise seems a bit familiar to The Unholy, a horror movie that came out this year.
In that, a mute girl begins to speak after she thinks she sees visions of Mary. Of course, it turns out the visions were not from the Holy Mary but from someone else entirely. And what is the first miracle that takes place?
A disabled boy walks again.
Just like in Midnight Mass.
Hopefully, the similarities end there. The trailer surely looks promising enough.
