Bad Witch-- Horror Movie ending spoilers!

Plot Summary: Xander thinks he's doing nerdy teenager Roland a favor by taking him under his wing and teaching him witchcraft. But Xander may just not be the best teacher he thinks he is.

We've seen plenty of movies and TV shows on witches by now, most of them about characters helping others with their powers. And usually, things turn out for the best, don't they?

The characters too are distinctive; the good witches help people, the bad ones help themselves.

So what happens when a bad witch tries to do something good? Well, it backfires of course.

BAD WITCH Movie Plot

Bad Witch is basically about a ne'er-do-well witch Xander who possesses knowledge about witchcraft.

It all begins when he's a kid and is searching for his father in the house only to find the charred remains in the basement. His father was tied to a chair and burned. Beside him is a book of handwritten spells. Thus begins Xander's journey into witchcraft.
But who burned his father? Did he combust? Why not burn the book of spells?

Anyway, twenty years later, Xander is a guy who is a commitment-phobe and crashes the party.
When he does that with one of his friends, her husband isn't too fond of him and lets Xander know just how unwanted she is. Xander responds by stealing his shirt button and performing a spell on it.

The guy's face gets covered in warts to the point he has to bandage himself. He suspects Xander must have something to do with it and breaks into his house, along with his friends, to rough him up and carve 'Witch' on his stomach.

Xander seeks help from his friend Henry who not only lets him stay at his place but also sets him up with a job at the diner.

It is over there that Xander witnesses a boy being bullied. Roland is a high school student who is constantly harassed by schoolmates Conrad and Hans.

Xander's interview is just a formality; after all, every diner needs a dishwasher. Xander doesn't have good people skills so he is instantly hired as a dishwasher.

Xander has an obvious crush on his classmate Veronica and she clearly sees him as a friend. The minute Roland begins talking to her, Conrad interrupts and insults him.

Xander is sick of watching Roland bear the brunt and decides to take him under his wing. Roland is obviously taken aback to discover that the guy he works with is a witch and not a wizard or a warlock.

Xander assures him he knows he's using the right term and sets about teaching him and finds that Roland is a natural. The first thing they do is put a spell on Conrad and make him break out in warts and ruin his chance to get into a good college on a sports scholarship.

Roland begins to see without his glasses and manages to get Veronica as his girlfriend.

When Hans goes to see his friend Conrad and sees the state he is in, they deduce Roland is behind it.

Hans goes to Roland's house, finds the spell book Xander had given him, and leaves.

Roland and Xander decide to get the book back by giving in to the stereotypes Hans has conjured about them. They show up in witch hats.

Hans refuses to give the book back and Xander manages to guess what Hans really desires...and that is to be so handsome, more than his friend Conrad who he is half jealous, half in love with.

Xander instead turns him into the most handsome pumpkin as a joke. Roland isn't in the mood to deal with a Cinderella plot point and instructs Xander to change him back, but before that, Roland trips and lands on the floor, smashing the pumpkin under him

Instead of seeds, the pumpkin splattered blood everywhere. Roland is devastated to learn that he killed Hans and that he can't bring back the dead.

On the other side, Conrad is in despair because he can't okay football in his condition. His father is annoyed that he will have to end up paying for college and his son won't get the scholarship.

BAD WITCH Ending Explained with Spoilers!

Conrad learns that Hans suspected Roland of witchcraft and decides to confront him.

Meanwhile, Henry begrudges Xander teaching Roland witchcraft and not him but Xander assures him he only wanted to help the teenager and that Roland had a gift for it.

This prompts Henry to join forces with Conrad and his father to take down Xander for putting a spell on Conrad.

Xander is trapped and beaten up by Henry. Then when he is tied to a stake, Henry asks for money from Conrad's father for helping them capture a witch. Henry is rewarded in the best way possible for his betrayal: a gunshot to his gut.

Roland and Veronica reunite even after the latter learns she may be a victim of a love spell. But Roland has convinced her otherwise and she is eager to help him save a witch.

In the scuffle, Conrad's father shoots Roland and Xander takes down both Conrad and his father.

Veronica pleads with Xander to bring back her nerdy boyfriend so that he can take her to prom. Xander tells her that he cannot because it won't be Roland who returns but a monster.

Veronica doesn't care about Xander's advice. She is determined to go to prom since both Conrad and Roland are no longer there. She learns and implements a spell quickly, laying Roland down on the floor with a pentacle underneath.

Roland comes to life but doesn't want to take her to prom anymore and grabs her throat.

So...a bad witch has returned from the dead...

The movie is clearly made on a low budget and the acting is barely passable, yet it was an entertaining watch even though it tries too hard.

Scare scale: 3/5

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
