Killer Concept-- Horror Movie Ending spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Three writers work on a story about the local serial killer. One of them is connected to the killer.

When you think about killers, what is the first question you think about?

Is it why the killer killed? Or how he did his killings?

These questions have led to a spike in shows and films being made about serial killers, and more often than not, these stories are romanticised and sometimes lead people to sympathize with them.

Killer Concept is another movie about a serial killer but this time it isn't about a well-known one but a killer on the loose in the hometown of Seth, Holly and Mark.

KILLER CONCEPT Movie Plot

All three of them being writers, get together to work on a story about the serial killer.

At first, there are only ideas being thrown about with Seth being the overly enthusiastic guy why wants to "Hollywood-ize" everything. Then there's Holly who has already written true crime stories and sold quite some books. The third is Mark, the quiet guy who is there only to point out things wrong with the story rather than contribute.

But the three of them work together well, setting assignments for each other, and listening to each other's ideas.

Somewhere along the line, Mark starts falling for Holly, especially when she acts out a strangulation scene with Seth.

Now, why is Mark besotted with Holly because of how she enacted the scene? It's because the killer is none other than Mark.

It's not even an ending spoiler; the truth is revealed fairly early on as we watch Mark grapple with his urge to kill women. This is also why he isn't too pleased with Seth's obnoxious eyes about the killer's motive and method of the kill.

Mark commits his murders wearing a red jacket, finds his victims on a dating app and his criteria? Women who have flower names.

Mark could have easily walked away from a project where Seth and Holly are not only writing a story about the local serial killer but also sort of trying to solve it. But he stays on, intrigued by what theories are being made up about the killer. He is, after all, the killer.

While he has developed a crush on Holly and respects her working style, at the same time he has begun loathing Seth for making the killer seem sloppy and for coming closer to Holly.

Frustrated, Mark starts looking for his next victim while Seth, conducting an investigation on his own, finds a vital clue; one of the victims used to wear a necklace she never took off, yet it was never found on her dead body.

Mark begins chatting with a girl called Daisy and makes plans to meet her.

On the day of his date, Seth, while enacting a scene of the killer who he thinks should use a gun in the movie, scares Mark who is then pissed off when Seth laughs at him.

In a bad mood, Mark's date with Daisy derails and she leaves before he can do anything.

The next day he tries to reconnect with Daisy but she blocks his number.

Mark now wants to go after Holly who he thinks gets him and is nice to him.

He messages her to meet him while Seth, comes to visit Mark to apologize for his behaviour.

Mark is in his basement, apologizing to the photos of his other victims about developing feelings for Holly. He picks up the necklace Seth had mentioned earlier in the movie and apologizes to a photo of the woman about wanting to present it to Holly.

When Seth visits, Mark accidentally drops the necklace outside and Seth picks it up and realizes Mark may be the killer. He makes excuses and leaves but keeps an eye on Mark as he goes to meet Holly.

KILLER CONCEPT Ending Explained with Spoilers!

Rather than meeting her as a friend, Mark dons his red hoodie and kidnaps Holly.

Seth follows them and confronts Mark. Holly is unconscious at this point so she doesn't learn that Seth is trying to save her.

Seth points a gun at Mark and has his back turned. Holly picks this moment to awaken and misunderstands the situation. She hits Seth on the head, hard enough to kill him.

She freaks out and urges Mark to call the police. Mark tries to console her at first but when Holly lets it slip that she already has a boyfriend, he changes his plans and closes the door to the basement, implying that he is now going to harm Holly.

The movie does have an interesting concept and the build-up is pretty good. Made on a meagre budget, the film does justice to the script and is an okay watch.

Scare scale: 3/5

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
