Bearry--My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Chloe is gifted a teddy bear by her friend, she soon finds out that all her wishes are starting to come true and the people close to her go missing.

Bears have got to be the most popular animals in stuffed toys. At some point, we all had teddy bears, whether we were gifted them by our parents or someone else. Teddies are one of the popular gifts to give anyone at any age. Who doesn't like Teddies?

The movie Bearry will make you question, however: Do Teddies like you?

BEARRY Movie Plot

After Chloe gets dumped by her husband, her friend Sam decides to cheer her up by gifting her a giant teddy bear. Chloe places him on her bed and begins to confide all her hopes and dreams to him.

At the behest of her friend, she also starts dating again and literally all her dates are at the same restaurant/bar where Stephen works. Stephen has been keeping an eye on Chloe for a long time and is elated to learn she's divorced. But Chloe doesn't consider him dating material just yet. She has to go through half the town before she sees him in a different light.

Meanwhile, Bearry (origins unknown) comes alive to kill anyone who hurts Chloe only because she made the mistake of saying "I love you Bearry much too," to the teddy when he says it at the touch of a button.

Chloe gets hit on by her boss, and the boss is murdered when Bearry comes to know about it. The case is being investigated by the town's only two detectives who find cotton in the house and nothing else. Since Chloe was the last one he met, she is the suspect and the detectives don't bother with further investigations.

Anyone Chloe dates and likes or is disturbed by them is instantly killed by Bearry.

Running out of prospects, Chloe turns to Stephen who gladly accepts her in his life even though he thinks Chloe is too young for him.

When Bearry finds out that Chloe has feelings for Stephen, it is now his turn to be stabbed.

BEARRY Ending Explained with Spoilers!

Stephen does get stabbed but not fatally. There's a woman in a hoodie at the bar who doesn't talk until the final act because she has to tell Chloe that she had Bearry before and he went psycho for her. She wants to burn him with fire.

Chloe agrees and in the end, Bearry is burned to death. Chloe gets together with Stephen and they all live happily ever after.

The movie suffers from mediocre acting, and scenes that could have been humorous but are not.

It is a decent watch nevertheless.

Scare scale: 2.5/5

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
