Don't Kill Me-- My take on the movie with Spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: Mirta returns from the dead following a drug overdose that caused her and her boyfriend Robin's death. She soon finds out she's being sought by a group who wants her dead and that she no longer craves normal food.

Remember a couple of years ago, there was a huge craze for vampire stories. Everywhere you went, you were surrounded by vampire-themed movies and books, and video games. Of course, the popularity of vampire-themed stories grew because the writers no longer left the vampires in the dark. They were younger and given unique powers and strengths. And of course, they could walk in sunlight. How else are they going to attend high school, right?

While the craze for vampires may have dwindled, every now and then there will be another story that will creep up and remind you that there are still stories of angsty teenage vampires you need to watch.

But is DON'T KILL ME worth the watch?

DON'T KILL ME Movie Plot

The movie begins with Mirta and Robin in a car driving down a dangerous road. Robin is blindfolded and it is up to Mirta to give him directions. They almost hit a tractor but make it through in the nick of time.

It is time to celebrate being alive and the only way to do it for the couple is by taking dangerous drugs.

There is some trope about Mirta's parents not approving of Robin which isn't much of a surprise. He may be pale-faced with dark hair and behaving like Robert Pattinson, but that doesn't mean he is. Because he takes drugs and is reckless, remember? That's already been established in the first ten minutes.

Mirta is bored and asks Robin if she could try the new black drug he's melting on his spoon. Robin says nope but Mirta is persistent. Before taking it however, she says...the title of the film: Don't Kill Me.

Well, she was the one who wanted to take the drugs in the first place.

Robin takes an eye dropper and puts the black stuff in her eye. He then does the same to himself. The two stand like zombies as the black stuff drips down their eye.

In the next instant they are laying side by side on a slab. Mirta's parents are squabbling over their daughter's burial. Mirta's father says it's Robin's fault his daughter is dead but the mother says that Mirta would have wanted to be buried next to the boy who gave her dangerous drugs that killed her.

And so it is settled.

Mirta is buried next to Robin but soon enough, one night, Mirta breaks through the bricks in the mausoleum. While hers and the rest of the graves are decorated, Robin's is plain except for his name.

Mirta wails when she realizes Robin didn't break through like a zombie. She drags herself home and the first thing she does is seek comfort food. But uh-oh, all her tasty snacks now make her want to puke.

She then heads to her room but she isn't that soft-footed and her mother wakes up. Her mother isn't sure if she has seen a ghost or not. She follows Mirta to the room but she hides and then closes the door. Her mother asks to see her but Mirta prefers to remain hidden and then runs away.

She comes upon a rest stop and goes into the bathroom to find herself slowly decomposing. In fact, her skin is turning into the same color as the drug she took. She finds one of her nails loose and decides she must get a manicure right away. She pulls it and it makes a disgusting squishy sound before coming in her hands.

Mirta looks up and sees her eyes have turned black too. She quickly changes into different clothes and wears sunglasses to hide her creepy eyes.

She heads to the nightclub she had gone to when she was a human. She had seen Robin there and after he had surprised her and picked her up, she had fallen hard for him.

At the nightclub, present day, she is hit on by a guy that she initially rejects. Then she spots Ago, Robin's friend and goes back to the sap she had rejected and allows him to take her to a car so he can make out with her. But Mirta has other ideas.

She quickly tears into him and feeds on his blood. The Black of her skin quickly dissipates. She's now a vampire and zombie hybrid. Or something.

Meanwhile, a man comes over to see Mirta's father asking for her whereabouts. Mirta's father says she doesn't exist any more but the stranger claims to know that Mirta does exist but she's no longer the person she was. He advises Mirta's father to inform him should she come to visit.

The man claims to be from a group call the Benandanti who specializes in dealing with whatever Mirta has become.

Mirta's father isn't too thrilled with his sales pitch and sends him away.

Soon enough the Benandanti corner Mirta and kill her father in front of her. She retaliates and is shot at but of course, bullets mean nothing to her anymore. She runs out and that is when a woman in a motorcycle rescues her.

Her name is Sara and she takes Mirta under her wing, teaching her how to feed and how the Benandanti are vicious people that need to be avoided.

Mirta then meets with Ago who spies on her while she undresses and takes a bath. He then professes his love for her but Mirta is obviously not interested. Besides it's her feeding time and she's trying hard not to drain him off his blood.

Ago realizes her struggle and then kills himself,  thinking he will resurrect. No such luck for him.

DON'T KILL ME Ending Explained with Spoilers!

Meanwhile, Sara gets into trouble with the Benandanti who abduct her. Mirta searches for her and is almost kidnapped herself but she escapes.

She reaches the graveyard, having an inkling about Robin and finds his grave empty. Just then someone knocks her out from behind.

She awakens and finds herself all tied up. The Benandanti make themselves known and Mirta is made to meet a surprise visitor: It is Robin!

Robin takes Mirta away to a room and explains his depressing story about wanting revenge from the monsters and joining the Benandanti but then getting waylaid from his mission when he falls in love with Mirta. He then realizes he wants to be with her forever and then purposely gives her the drugs that will kill her.

Mirta and Robin spend the night together after which Mirta sneaks away to help her friend.

Sara is being tortured and Mirta struggles with him until they are both able to escape.

Robin comes to try and stop her but Mirta tases him. That's what he gets for turning her into a monster without her permission. How dare he!

She barely spares him a glance as he lays on the road and she and Sara drive off.

In the end Sara and Mirta go to a different city and plan to start life anew and be careful choosing victims.

Mirta is more confident now after having tased her boyfriend. She says she knows how to find her victims.

The end.

The movie starts of well and then along the way becomes a perplexing puzzle with the introduction of the Benandanti and Robin's intentions.

The actor playing Mirta is the only saving grace of this odd movie.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
