HORROR WEEKLY NEWS: 1920 Horrors of the Heart Teaser out. Russel Crowe is the Pope's Exorcist.

1920, the horror series that was written by Vikram Bhatt is back with a fifth movie.

Titled 1920 Horrors of the Heart, Mahesh Bhatt will write the movie and stars Avika Gor, Rahul Dev, and Randheer Rai.

A teaser was released online which hints at this being yet another haunted house movie. Women are being possessed and their eyes turn white. Surely, they will be crawling up walls too.

The 1920 film series has been successful in the past, and the last movie titled 1921 was supposed to be the film series moving forward in another year.

But since 1921 was only an average grosser, the filmmakers seemed to have cancelled their plans to move forward a year and gone back to 1920.

The teaser looks like the movie will be one of those run-of-the-mill horror movies. Hopefully, the movie's full trailer will be better and show that the movie isn’t only all jump scares.

In other news…

The sequel to the original The Exorcist may be releasing later this year (tentative date October 13th), but another movie on exorcism is already coming out.

While it has no relation whatsoever with the 1973 movie The Exorcist, THE POPE’S EXORCIST is a movie that is based on the actual cases of Father Gabriele Amorth, the chief exorcist of the Vatican. Throughout his life, he had performed closed to 100,000 exorcisms, and after his death in 2016 at the age of 91, he left behind two of his memoirs-- An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories.

So of course, we have a movie coming out on these true-life cases but what is interesting to note is that Russel Crowe will be playing Father Gabriele Amorth.

The trailer shows that the movie is sure to be action-packed and filled with thrilling moments.

The movie also stars Franco Nero, Alex Essoe, and Laurel Marsden.

The movie is slated to release on April 14th alongside Nicolas Cage’s RENFIELD.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
