Horror Weekly News--Cinderella gets her Revenge. Antony Starr in horror movie Cobweb.

Cinderella is out for revenge.

Following the announcement of a gory film called CINDERELLA'S CURSE being directed and produced by Louisa Warren, the classic fairytale will see a new, violent twist with the announcement of Cinderella’s Revenge.

We all know how unkind the stepsisters and stepmother were towards Cinderella, but what could they have possibly done to push Cinderella to her limits?

CINDERELLA'S REVENGE will be about Cinderella being assisted by her Fairy Godmother to exact revenge upon those that have tormented her.

Natasha Hendridge (star of species) will play the Fairy Godmother while Lauren Staerck (star of The Killing Tree) will play Cinderella.

In other news…

Antony Starr from THE BOYS fame stars in a new horror movie coming out soon. The trailer drop reveals more about the story.

Titled COBWEB, the story is about an eight-year-old boy called Peter, hearing knocks coming from inside his bedroom walls. But his parents think it is a part of his nightmares and dismiss it.

But Peter is sure something else is going on. The knocks come every night and he begins to draw about them in school prompting his teacher to ask his parents if there is anything going on at home.

This disturbs the parents and they pretty much scold Peter and warn him not to have nightmares.

Soon enough Peter learns the origin of the knocks and finds bones as well leading him to believe that the people he trusts the most, his parents, may be hiding some dark and dangerous secrets from him.

The movie is rumored to be inspired by The Tell-Tale Heart, a short story by Edgar Allan Poe. In the story, the narrator kills an old man because he had a vulture eye that distresses him. He eventually kills the old man, dismembers him, and buries him underneath the floorboards.

When the police conduct an investigation, they sit at the very room, and place chairs on the very spot the old man is buried. The narrator is certain he can hear the old man’s heartbeat and that the police are pretending not to hear it. The narrator then break down and confesses to his murder.

If COBWEB is based on this short story, then the family secret could be tied to a murder and the body could be hidden behind the walls.

COBWEB also stars Lizzy Caplan, Cleopatra Coleman, and Woody Norman.

The movie COBWEB releases on July 21st.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
