Horror Weekly News: NATTY KNOCKS trailer drop. Maggie Q stars in brand new thriller FEAR THE NIGHT.

Things aren’t looking too great for babysitters in horror movies.

Over the past few decades, there have been several horror movies based on the villain stalking the protagonist and killing all their friends before the final showdown.

It all began with the 1971 film FRIGHT where a babysitter called Amanda is alone at home with Tara, the child she is taking care of, when she notices strange occurrences. The stalker turns out to be the ex of the woman Amanda is working for.

Following the success of this movie, in 1978, HALLOWEEN was released which spawned several sequels.

The reason the concept of a terrorized babysitter worked was because it raised the tension in the movie. The kids are supposed to be young, the babysitter is usually a minor too. Can kids really take down a manic serial killer?

Turns out, teenagers are well-equipped to deal with all sorts of problems, as well as take down dangerous criminals.

NATTY KNOCKS is the latest horror movie where a babysitter is going to be stalked by a serial killer. But that’s not all. Legend has it, that an entity called Natty Knocks is out for vengeance.

Just how is the babysitter going to deal with all these issues?

The trailer doesn’t reveal much except for the mention of an old legend. But they are just stories right? Robert Englund, who stars in the movie, does not think so. His character is seen explaining that all ghost stories have originated from somewhere.

What we see is people struggling to survive as they encounter real terror.

NATTY KNOCKS also stars Danielle Harries, Bill Moseley, and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim.

Directed by Dwight H. Little of Halloween 4 fame, NATTY KNOCKS will release on July 21st.

While the others scream in terror, Tes gathers them all and reminds them that screaming isn’t going to solve their problems. The women are left with no choice but to band together to defeat the home invaders who are hellbent on leaving no witnesses behind.
