The Couch--My take on the short movie with spoilers!

Plot: A woman gets a free couch from Marketplace but soon finds herself dealing with an odd situation.

Who doesn't like a good shopping deal? Especially when the item is completely free?

But things are never free in life and usually there are strings attached to anything you are supposed to get for free. Isn’t it why they say you should always read the fine print?

As if there isn’t a lot to consider before buying things online, along comes a horror story to make you wary of buying things online.

You may have seen movies where a trespasser hides behind walls in big houses. Now, you get to see the intruder hiding in furniture.

THE COUCH Plot

A woman gets help from her friend to move in a couch with storage into her apartment.

At night, she heads back to her room. We hear crickets but that's not what is odd about this night. A man creeps out of the storage space and heads inside the kitchen.

The next morning, the woman finds empty food packets and realizes her cereal is almost over. But she probably ate all of it, right?

This happens again the next night but the woman is still unaware of the intruder inside her house.

The next morning she heads out. The man creeps out of his hiding spot once more and heads into her bathroom.

The woman returns because she forgot her phone. When she finds an empty chip packet sticking out of the storage space, she pulls it out and lifts the storage space only to find a pillow and food wrappers.

That's when she hears the toilet flush. Stunned, she finds a man enter the living room. She tries to rush out, only for the man to capture her.

Just goes to show how careful you need to be when you shop for things online.

Quick Review: The horror short is entertaining and doesn’t take too much time to reveal the twist. The third act, wherein the woman finally finds out what she has actually bought is well-executed.

The Couch will truly make you think twice before buying any piece of furniture.

The movie stars Lane Griffith, Jameson Schnell, and Joshua James.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer. Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating. Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying. What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon.
