COME WITH ME is on the bestsellers list for Ghost Thrillers and Ghost Fiction. This GoodReads Choice Award Nominee is written by Ronald Malfi and published by Titan Books. Published in July 2021, this book has been well-received by critics who describe the book as chilling and suspenseful. The author’s writing style has been praised and compared to Stephen King and Dean Koontz. 

Customers who bought the book were happy with how the mystery shaped up. The author’s writing was praised as well as commended the story for handling elements of grief, guilt, and loss that are intricately woven in this thriller.

The story has been told in the first person but with a twist. The protagonist, Aaron seems to be speaking to his wife Allison who has passed away. He remembers the day he fell in love with her, the darkness inside her, and her eventual death in a mass shooting. 

It is when he finds a receipt of her stay in another city while he was away, that Aaron wonders if something is amiss.

He realizes that he may not know his wife that well after all. 

The title is not merely a phrase but a sentence used by both characters following which an event takes place that alters their life. 

When his wife tells him to “come with me”, he doesn’t and it is on that day that she is killed. 

Later, he reminisces about her and remembers the time when he had said “come with me”, and Allison had told him she was busy with work only for him to find out later that while he was away on business, she had been in another city. 

The suspense begins building from the first chapter itself. The unique way to tell the story pushes the reader into becoming involved in the character’s lives. Aaron is living with guilt and so are you. The tragedy that has hit him is palpable and will evoke a sympathetic reaction from you. 

It is definitely one of those stories that will keep you wanting to know more.
