Horror Weekly News: It's a Wonderful Knife this Christmas. New Netflix thriller Locked In Trailer drop.

It’s that time of the year again when the festival season isn’t complete without a horror Christmas movie. This time we get to see a fun, horror take on the Christmas Classic, It’s a Wonderful Life.

Titled IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE, prepare for blood splatters and an elusive serial killer going through all the residents in town. While the title suggests that the killer would be using a knife, in the recently released trailer, we get to see him wielding an axe.

In the trailer, Mayor Waters is greeting Angel Falls at the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Everyone seems happy and the town sure is idyllic.

However, when a young woman is kissing her boyfriend and realizes he tastes weird, we find out that the hapless chap has been stabbed and the girlfriend has been tasting his blood.

The serial killer is dressed as an angel. One of the residents of Angel Falls, and our protagonist, Winnie, manages to not only strike the serial killer but also electrocute him.

She has saved Angel Falls after the killer is revealed to be none of than Mayor Waters.

But Winnie isn’t happy with her life and facing a personal dilemma. Frustrated by her life, she blurts out that everyone would be better off if she was never born.

Just like in It’s A Wonderful Life, Winnie gets a chance to learn how everyone would cope if she was indeed not part of their lives. What Winnie has forgotten is that she was solely responsible for bringing down the serial killer.

And so when the Angel strikes again, Winnie realizes she must take him down again. The problem is, Mayor Waters is just so well-liked by everyone. He’s all smiles and support.

Just why is he killing then? And will Winnie manage to take him down again?

It’s A Wonderful Knife appears to be the perfect holiday movie for horror fans and definitely appealing.

The movie is written by Michael Kennedy, and stars Jane Widdop, Joel McHale, and Justin Long.

Directed by Tyler MacIntyre, IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE releases on November 10th.

 In other news…

The trailer for Locked In has just been dropped. Netflix’s newest thriller will leave you mystified and anticipating the reveal.

The thriller shows Famke Janssen playing a woman called Katherine who, after getting involved in a car accident, is diagnosed with locked-in syndrome.

A nurse is determined to figure out her patient’s story and finds out a story of betrayal, infidelity, and murder.

The trailer shows a woman called Lina who talks about how Katherine was like a mother to her. She grows up and marries Jamie. At the wedding, Katherine taunts her by saying who would have thought that Lina would become lady of the manor?

Lina is labelled as a gold digger and the trailer insinuates that she may have had an affair with another man.

Is Katherine really the conniving woman Lina claims her to be or is there something else afoot?

Answers will be revealed on November 1st on Netflix.

The movie stars Famke Janssen, Anna Friel, Finn Cole, Rose Williams, and Alex Hassell.

The movie is written by Rowan Joffe and directed by Nour Wazzi.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
