Horror Weekly News: A Creature is Stirring in this Christmas Horror Movie. Inner Child coming soon.

It’s not a Christmas horror themed movie until a Christmas decoration is used in some form. And so here we have it, a candy cane light to show one of the characters the way.

In the trailer for A Creature Was Stirring, we meet a mother who keeps giving her daughter pills, then locking her up in a room as she becomes full of rage.

This routine is disrupted by the arrival of a couple who looks like they are seeking shelter. When they hear screams in the middle of the night, they are shocked to find that mother and daughter have secrets.

The woman goes to investigate the cries of a girl with a candy cane and ends up coming face to face with a monster.

The couple believe that the mother may be potentially harming her daughter and tie her up. The mother announces that they have no idea how hard it is to be a mother.

In the end, the mother is armed with a weapon as the monster approaches her and opens it mouth.

Just what sort of creature will they all have to deal with? Suspicions are thrown on the daughter who contorts her body and yells and cries. Chances are that she is the monster and the mother has been keeping her doped up to quell the violence and rage within her.

Directed by Damien LeVeck and written by Shannon Wells, the movie stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Chrissy Metz, Connor Paolo, and Annalise Basso.

A CREATURE WAS STIRRING releases on December 12th.

In other news…

Scout Taylor-Compton will be seen in another horror/thriller movie. Titled INNER CHILD, the movie is about a young woman who is plagued by nightmares and strange occurrences. She reaches out to her therapist to get to the bottom of the mystery and remembers something from her childhood.

Turns out the girl, called Cassie, was a victim of abuse and her mother refuses to talk to her about it. Cassie’s other relatives are distant family members who are addicts.

Cassie no longer wants to be damaged and must find a way to stand up for herself if she truly wants to heal and rid herself of nightmares that are entering her reality.

Inner Child has enter pre-production following a campaign to raise funds.

The movie is written and directed by Natalie Rodriguez and stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Felissa Rose, and James Duval.

Inner Child has no release date so far.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
