Horror Weekly News: Last Night At Terrace Lane releases. NEON drops teaser for mysterious horror movie.

You’ll think twice before you head out bowling this weekend. Because heads can roll. Or at least that is what the tagline of the new horror movie LAST NIGHT AT TERRACE LANES is.

Terrace Lanes used to be an actual place where people could come and bowl. However, it had to close down because of the pandemic and sell the building. Right before it closed down, though, the place was used to shoot a horror movie.

Last Night At Terrace Lanes is about a couple of high school kids heading to the bowling alley because they think the place is so retro and that they need to have fun in it one last time before they close down.

But things quickly get scary when in the middle of their bowling game, a couple of people in hoodies and mask, start attacking them. Some of them hide in bathrooms, some of them get clobbered by bowling balls.

Will anyone survive the night?

The movie is directed by Jamie Nash, and written by Adam Cesare and Jenna St. John.

Starring Mia Rae Roberts, Wes Johnson, and Anita Sharma, LAST NIGHT AT TERRACE LANES released on January 16th.

 In other news…

NEON has announced three horror movies releasing this year.

We have a movie called CUCKOO starring Dan Stevens, LONGLEGS, starring Nicolas Cage, and IMMACULATE, starring Sydney Sweeney.

While the release dates of these three movies have yet to be disclosed, NEON has already dropped a teaser for one of its movie... and its not telling us for which one.

The first teaser shows a photograph of parents and a young daughter while we hear a voice-over that appears to be an emergency call. The father is apparently screaming out that it is not his daughter.

The next still is of a girl with very long legs. There also appear to be a second set of hands near her.

As the call ends, the screen shows us weird symbols.

The second teaser dropped a few days after the first one. In this one, we see an FBI agent, digging and uncovering an object.

This time the voice-over is of a woman and she is asking to pray because that is the only way to get rid of the devil.

The premise for Longlegs is about an FBI agent played by Nicolas Cage and it seems like the teasers could be about it considering he is tasked with investigating a cult and those symbols at the end of the teaser does seem to contain weird letterings.

Hopefully the next teaser on NEON’S YouTube channel will reveal the film title and put all speculation to rest.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
