Horror Weekly News: Patrick Warburton stars in THE UNEARTHLY. LONGLEGS releases an eerie trailer.

Secrets are rising in the comedy-horror movie THE UNEARTHLY. The movie which will enter production stage in the coming months, sees Patrick Warburton as the lead in this movie which he is also producing.

The movie is about a team of paranormal investigators who live-stream their show in a haunted mansion only to discover that the evil they are dealing with is far more deadly and way beyond their capabilities.

Patrick Warburton plays Tank McCrary who used to be a paranormal investigator in the 90’s before a humiliating incidents tanks his career. He still prefers things old school and continues to use his own equipment and smarts to investigate paranormal incidents.

The premise suggests comedic situations and it is always fun to see Patrick Warburton play his roles with just a hint of skepticism and distrust.

Patrick Warburton will be joined by Kevin Sorbo, Costas Mandylor, and Betsy-Blue English.

Directed by Josh Sternfeld, the movie is written by Michael K. Anderson, Patricia A. Beninati, John Gross, and Jeff Knight.

THE UNEARTHLY has no set release date yet.

The trailer for LONGLEGS has finally released. Or has it?

Going by the way NEON has been teasing the audience for weeks now, it wouldn’t be surprised that the one minute, forty-five second trailer is yet another ruse.

The trailer adds more mystery to the movie and all we get is visuals of something disconcerting happening blended with an ominous background score.

Going by the trailer, Longlegs appears to be a really scary movie.

In the trailer, we see a woman studying some symbols, a girl looking out the window, the dead of winter. A cross is uncovered, a woman stares through a veil, and maybe, just maybe, we catch a glimpse of Nicolas Cage.

In an interview, Nicolas Cage has described his character as a “possessed Geppetto. He further added that his character makes dolls and sends them to families to make them do terrible things.

It was earlier reported that the test audience for the movie lauded Cage’s performance but also said that his character is so off-putting that it would scare off viewers.

The movie certainly seems promising and a must-see for horror fans.

Written and Directed by Oz Perkins, the movie stars Nicolas Cage, Maika Monroe, Alicia Witt, and Blair Underwood.

Longlegs is scheduled to release on July 12th.

The Limehouse Golem- My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: When Elizabeth's husband is found dead, all fingers point to her. But is it really her or the work of a serial killer? If like me, you’ve read hundreds of mysteries and are enthused about Sherlock Holmes tales, THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is actually pretty predictable. Set in the Victorian Era, it promises to instil fear in you. Before Jack the Ripper, there was Golem- such is the tagline and you do want it to be the kind of movie that keeps you guessing until the very end as to the true identity of the killer.   Unlike the Jack the Ripper legend, Golem is easily recognizable in the very first instance the character is introduced.

Delirium (2018)— My take on the movie with spoilers!

PLOT SUMMARY: After leaving the asylum and put in house arrest, Tom begins to believe the house is either haunted or he is hallucinating.  Most times, when we think about criminals, we wonder what could possible have prompted them to fall into a life of crime.

Look Away— my take on the movie with spoilers!

Plot Summary: A bullied girl switches places with her reflection. She soon regrets her decision as people start dying.  What matters most? Looks or confidence? When we see someone for the first time, we do notice their looks, the way they dress. Personality and their ability to initiate and hold a conversation comes second, doesn't it? Imagine meeting someone who is good looking but is dull to the core. Now imagine someone with average looks but is someone you can have fun with or have an intellectual conversation. Which seems more attractive? Look Away takes a very bold stand where appearances are concerned. But also about self-confidence. In the end, the only argument it makes is that one cannot possess both attributes. LOOK AWAY Movie Plot  We are introduced to a timid girl, Maria whose father is a plastic surgeon. Her mother is shown to have no say of her own. She is left to watch her husband ridicule his daughter about not being careful with her looks. Maria has a friend Lily
