Weekly Horror News: R.L. Stine's Prom Queen heads to Netflix. Stopmotion has a terrifying new trailer.
It’s time to return to FEAR STREET.
Following the success of the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix, R.L. Stine’s hit book series will once again be brought to life in a new movie.
While the Fear Street trilogy was based on the series and not a specific novel, the fourth Fear Street movie will be an adaptation of R.L. Stine’s 1992 novel THE PROM QUEEN.
The Prom Queen was about a killer targeting the five prom queen candidates. Lizzie McVay, one of the candidates, must figure out who is behind the murders before she becomes a victim herself.
Lizzie, along with Simone Perry, Elana Potter, Dawn Rodgers, and Rachel West, are nominated to be prom queen.
As the murders begin to take place, Lizzie must get to the bottom of the mystery to save herself and her friends. But can she find out the identity of the killer in time?
Spoiler Alert!
In the book, the killer turns out to be Simone who is jealous because her boyfriend Justin has been cheating on her with the other girls.
Whether or not the movie will follow the same plot, remains to be seen.
As of yet, cast details and release dates have not been revealed. The fourth Feart Street movie, THE PROM QUEEN will be releasing on Netflix.
