Horror Book Review—Backwater by Lee Rozelle

It is not often that short stories can surprise you.

Lee Rozelle's latest short stories collection BACKWATERS will surprise you...and make you squeamish.

Just as promised Rozelle delivers twelve very bizarre tales that is clearly a hidden gem in a sea of horror anthologies.

These riveting stories are nightmare-inducing and you will require a strong stomach to digest the shocking climax in some of the stories.

The author clearly writes boldly and isn't afraid to shock the readers with surprising, and gory turns.

The book was published in May 2024 and is on the bestsellers list for Horror Short Stories and Fantasy Anthologies.

Those who have read the book already have given positive reviews and praised the author for writing a weird collection of stories that have shocking twists.

Book Review of BACKWATERS

The book starts off strong with its first story LYLE AND THE SPACEMAN.

An ordinary day at the barber shop takes a shocking turn, one you could not have imagined.

Then there is A Dead Cat Christmas, the fifth story in the collection that has a horrifying twist that will probably make you flinch as you read the grim details.

The last story in the collection is a novelette called Hydromaniacs. The story interconnects with the other stories in the collection and in the same fashion.

All the stories in the book are bound to leave you entertained but also a little queasy.

The author breathes life into each and every character, skillfully giving them different personalities and inducing shock and gore into each story.

This is a horror story anthology you do want to add to your book collection.
