Horror Movie News: Apartment 7A will follow Terry's story. Demi Moore stars in body horror movie The Substance.
What happened before Rosemary Woodhouse came to stay at the Bramford?
What were the Castevets up to before Rosemary came to stay at the Bramford?
All these questions will be answered in the upcoming show on Paramount +.
The new streaming series is a prequel to Rosemary’s Baby and will follow the story of Terry Gionoffrio, a dancer aspiring for stardom who suffers a tragic incident.
In the trailer, we see Julia Garner play an impressive character from the 1960s. The actress steals attention in every scene of the trailer.
We see her play a dancer who suffers a tragic incident which leaves her with a devastating injury. Unable to work, she faces a troubled life until she runs into an elderly couple, literally. The Castevets are kind and welcome her into their home with the promise that things will get better for her.
We see Terry receive an offer to star as a lead in a play. Her life transforms as she moves into the Bramford. The Castevets may be friendly but Terry soon grows wary of them especially when she finds an item left behind by the previous tenant. Mrs. Castevet even gives her a haircut which leads to a cut on her ear.
Terry soon finds herself mysteriously pregnant and begins to believe that there is something ominous afoot.
Of course something problematic is going on. Horror fans will remember that Terry became friendly with Rosemary when she moves into the Bramford. Unfortunately, Terry, who is said to be a drug addict, apparently commits suicide.
But as the trailer for Apartment 7A suggests, the Castevets were probably behind everything that happened to Terry.
This promising new series also stars Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, and Kevin McNally.
Apartment 7 A will stream on Paramount + from September 27th.
In other news, Demi Moore stars in a new body horror movie that has already won the Best Screenplay award at the Cannes Festival in 2024.
Sitting at 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has garnered several positive reviews that have lauded both Demi Moore, and Margaret Qualley’s performance while praising the story. In fact, most reviewers have called the movie gross and outlandish.
In the trailer we get a glimpse of just how far a fading celebrity goes for fame.
Demi Moore plays Elisabeth who is told that since she is 50 years old there isn’t much of a demand for her. Desperate to cling on to her celebrity status, she resorts to trying an experimental substance that creates a younger version of herself.
Elisabeth gets to be herself for seven days, and her younger self, Sue, also gets a week. But something obviously goes wrong because Elisabeth is seen making a call about misusing the drug.
The movie is written and directed by Coralie Fargeat, and also stars Dennis Quaid, and Hugo Diego Garcia.
