Horror Movie News: Nosferatu releases on Christmas. Don't Move trailer drop.

Succumb to the darkness this Christmas.

This Christmas, instead of Santa, expect a visit from a vampire and not just any vampire, Count Orlok himself.

NOSFERATU has been in the making for a while now and it has finally set a release date for Christmas.

The movie is a remake of the 1922 silent German Expressionist vampire film that starred Max Schreck as Count Orlok.

The remake, written and directed by Robert Eggers, is a gothic tale of a vampire infatuated with a woman called Ellen Hutter. Although she is married to Thomas Hutter, she finds herself in a trance-like state every night and haunted by nightmares.

In the latest trailer, we see Lily-Rose Depp playing Ellen Hutter. She is visited by a physician who is played by Willem Dafoe to whom she narrates her vivid dreams.

She tells him about how in her dreams she is getting married and she is happy. But when she turns around, everyone is dead. She also recalls seeing death. In the trailer, we catch the silhouette of Count Orlok.

Ellen admits that she has never felt happier seeing him.

We then see rats, and death and people with blood streaming down their face. Thomas Hutter believes there is a devil in this world and he has seen it.

In the original story, Thomas Hutter is a real estate agent who sells a house to Count Orlok, who then sees a photo of his wife and gets infatuated.

The physician tells Ellen that she is the only one who can redeem them. Ellen is clearly entranced by the Count because she no longer thinks that her husband can please her.

In the last scene of the trailer, we see Ellen near the balcony, she is being beckoned by Count Orlok who isn’t visible to us. All we can see is his shadow.

We have yet to catch a glimpse of Bill Skarsgård as Count Orlok. Perhaps we will see him only when the movie releases.

The movie also stars Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Emma Corrin.

Nosferatu will release on December 25th.

In other news, Sam Raimi produced DON’T MOVE is all set to release on Netflix this month.

This horror thriller is about a grieving woman who meets a serial killer posing as a hitchhiker. He ends up giving her a paralytic agent that will shut down her body. The woman must find a way to survive before her body shuts down completely and she is killed by the serial killer.

In the trailer, we see a scenic view of a forest. We soon see a woman crawling on the grass, unable to properly move.

Flashback to when the woman is told by an offscreen person that she has 20 minutes before the relaxant he injected her with will go into effect. Her motor skills will be the first to go, after which it will be her legs and then finally her voice.

We see the woman go through it all and struggling to survive her circumstances.

She is then seen sitting in a car with an open window where a police officer comes to check up on her. She wants to call for help but by now her voice has become restrained.

By the time her watch timer ends, the woman is seeing laying on the ground, unable to move or react.

The movie is written by T.J. Cimfel and David White, and is directed by Brian Netto and Adam Schindler.

Kelsey Asbille, Finn Wittrock, and Daniel Francis star in this Netflix thriller.

Don’t Move will release on October 25th.
