Short Horror Movie Review: Santa's Naughty List

 

PLOT SUMMARY: A woman finds a mysterious gift under her Christmas tree.

Have you been naughty or nice? If you've been naughty, chances are you may just get a visit from Krampus...or something even more sinister.

The whole naughty and nice business began to discipline kids. If they were naughty, parents found an excuse to not buy presents for the kids. Well, they would anyway. Who wants surly and wailing kids on Christmas?

But they tried anyway. There's a whole song about Santa Claus being omniscient and keeping a close eye on kids so that around Christmas he can determine whether or not a kid deserved presents.

When kids still didn't budge from doing mischief, the legend of Krampus were born, the evil counterpart of Santa Claus, his brother in fact. Krampus is known to punish kids by spanking their bottoms and leaving a lump of coal in their stockings.

The smaller kids may have decided to keep to themselves. The older kids have learned to differentiate fact from fiction. Young adults realize that they get enough pocket money or can earn a little to be able to afford their own presents.

So of course, there needs to be a new gimmick to discipline the naughty.

SANTA'S NAUGHTY LIST brings about a new terror to keep the naughty in line.

SANTA'S NAUGHTY LIST Plot with Spoilers

A woman enters her living room and sees a large present under her Christmas Tree. She's so happy and excited that she doesn't see that the tag has a check on the word naughty.

She unwraps the present and finds...nothing.

At first she is puzzled but soon enough sue realizes that the wrapping has taken on a life of its own. She is attacked by the gift wrapper and soon enough, she is all wrapped up in it.

She struggles to get out and in the end we only see a hole big enough on the paper to show an eye.

The woman frantically searches for an escape and is unable to call for help.

This two minute movie is well-made and the twist ending leaves you feeling a lot to be curious about.

Just what exactly did she do to deserve this punishment?
