Horror Movie News: Love is in the Air

Love is in the air as the romance season begins.

But this romance may not necessarily be safe for you.

Coming up are two horror movies that are bound to make you think twice before you go out on a date.

First up is Companion.

Now that the movie is nearing its release, we finally have a trailer that reveals a lot more about the storyline.

In the trailer, we meet Iris who is happily shopping at the grocery store when she runs into Josh. The two feel a spark and get into a relationship.

But soon enough, Iris decides she needs to kill Josh.

Turns out, Iris is a robot and Josh has to try and shut her down. But Iris is always one step ahead and manages to get a hold of her controls. As luck would have it, she increases her intelligence level to a 100.

But Josh’s friends manage to jailbreak her. Josh may also already have a girlfriend…

Will they finally be able to control Iris or end up losing their lives?

The movie is written and directed by Drew Hancock.

Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, and Megan Suri star in this Dark Comedy Horror.

Companion is all set to release on January 31st.

In other news…

This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.

Directed by Josh Ruben, HEART EYES tells the story of a couple played by Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt.

The two have a meet-cute at the coffee shop and soon begin to date…at the worst possible moment.

There is a serial killer on the loose who goes by the name of HEART EYES.

The couple are in a bedroom when they suddenly encounter a masked killer hiding in the closet.

We then find out that for the past two years, a masked killer with luminous heart eyes, has been targetting couples on valentine’s day. His motive has still not been revealed.

Devon Sawa plays detective who is looking into the case and is told by his partner that the serial killer appears to be cupid with a kink.

The killer stalks, hunts, and then ultimately kills the couples. We then see a flash of scenes of some gruesome killings and couples running and screaming for their lives.

Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt’s character may end up defeating the serial killer by the way things are headed. Their character names are not revealed in the trailer.

The trailer has an interesting background score that matches well with the theme of the movie, creating a suspenseful yet romantic atmosphere. The song is a cover of the 1967 hit Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, originally sung by Frankie Valli.

The movie is written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon, and Michael Kennedy.

Apart from Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt, the movie also stars Jordana Brewster, Devon Sawa, and Ben Black.

HEART EYES released on 7th February.
