Horror Movie News: A pregnant woman fights back in WOMB. Father and daughter under attack in Everyone Is Going to Die.

A cabin in the woods, a hunter on the trail…we’ve seen plenty of movies like this. But have we seen the prey fighting back while being heavily pregnant? 

Based on true events, WOMB is about a woman, Hailey, who goes to spend the weekend with her soon to be sister-in-law at a remote cabin. Hailey is pregnant and also a recovering addict. 

In the newly released trailer we see a woman roaming about the woods in a basket when she spots a man wearing a camouflage and mask. She is shocked as he nears. 

In the next scene, we meet Hailey who is in the car with her fiance. On the radio, they hear the news about the infamous womb raider. Instead of the Tomb Raider? 

When a cop pulls over the car, Hailey comes in defence of her fiance and taunts the cop for not catching the womb raider and instead harassing them, 

At the cabin, Hailey is bonding with her soon to be sister-in-law when there is a knock on the door. It’s a man covered head to toe in leaves and wearing camouflage. Hailey has a baseball bat but she uses it to knock out her sister-in-law as well. 

Later, a girl also shows up and Hailey manages to pull her in and away from the attacks by the womb raider. 

Apparently, the cabin may be rented and the girl belongs to the family that lives there. The cabin has a secret room and Hailey asks the girl about what her father does and she replies that he is a hunter. 

There is more running and screaming before Hailey wields a shotgun and lets out a warning to stay away from her baby. 

The criminal is either the cop or the fiance by the looks of things. 

Womb is written by Mark Walsh, and directed by Bridget Smith. The movie stars Taylor Hanks, Abbey Hafer, Elizabeth Yu, Myles Clohessy, and Brian Anthony Wilson. 

WOMB will release on February 11.

In other news...

Some slasher movies can keep you guessing as to who will survive. A new movie that is coming up will put all suspense to rest. Titled EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIE, we no longer have to wonder if any character will survive. Everyone is going to die, right?

In the trailer, we see a a father greet his daughter as she arrives in a car. It is her birthday and he gifts her a watch as a way of making up to her for their estrangement. 

The daughter then notices a figure in the garden. The father may be rich but apparently, he didn’t spend enough on security. 

It is a woman in a mask, and the father asks his daughter if she’s a friend. His first thought is that he is being pranked?

Anyway, the daughter soon realizes that there is another woman in a mask behind her. She has a gift too, except her gift contains a weapon that she is going to use. 

After that things get chaotic with the characters running about and trying to hide. They do manage to injure at least one of the intruders because they are walking around with blood splattered all over their shoes. 

There is haircutting, and drugs being mixed in drinks. 

It’s The Strangers and a whole lot of intruder movies, combined into one. Or maybe it will come up with a twist where the daughter is involved somehow. 

EVERYONE IS GOING TO DIE is written by Craig Tuohy. The movie stars Brad Moore, Gledisa Arthur, Jaime Winstone, and Chiara D’Anna.
