Horror Movie News: Three more R.L. Stine adaptations in the works. The Death of Snow White trailer drop

 

Following the successful run of the Fear Street Trilogy on Netflix, there are further movies being planned based on the acclaimed Fear Street series. 

This year, R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series is ready to premiere its second season on January 10th  and a new movie in the Fear Street series, Prom Queen is set to release in 2025. Filming for Fear Street: Prom Queen has already been wrapped up last May which means we can expect the release to be in the first half of this year. 

There is also a TV series planned on The Babysitter series. The Babysitter was one of R.L. Stine’s successful novels that told the story of a sixteen-year-old girl Jenny Jeffers who goes on a babysitting job only to find herself being stalked by a serial killer. 

There were four books in the series that continued Jenny’s story as she deals with the aftermath of the events in the first book. 

The author, R.L. Stine has recently announced that there are three movies, apart from Prom Queen being planned and in the writing stage. These three movies are apparently based off on the Fear Street books. 

It will be interesting to find out which of R.L. Stine’s books makes it on the big screen next. 

In other news…

Disney’s Snow White may be in the news for all the wrong reasons but it will finally release on March 21, 2025 after almost a delay of one year. 

However, this big budget movie hasn’t discouraged other filmmakers from taking on this famous fairytale. 

An indie movie, THE DEATH OF SNOW WHITE is already gearing up for release. 

The movie will show dwarfs take on a tougher role than how they were depicted in the fairytales. 

In the trailer, the Queen asks the mirror who is the fairest of them all and while the Mirror dutifully tells her that she is fair, he also reminds her that Snow White is more beautiful. 

It seems that Snow White possesses natural beauty because of her kindness while the Queen needs to resort to leeches, and weird procedures with blood and maggots to retain her looks. 

So of course, she sends her men to harm Snow White who is saved by axe-wielding dwarves. The Queen now has a challenge on her hands as none of the guards are able to defeat the dwarves. 

Snow White too, has decided to go after the Queen. 

There is blood, maggots, a possibility of occult involved, and yes the famous apple that may finally defeat Snow White. 

THE DEATH OF SNOW WHITE will be released in March 2025.
