Ready or Not...Here comes the first trailer for the sequel!

It’s here! The trailer for the sequel we have all been waiting for. And it even has an apt follow-up title.

Ready or Not 2…Here I Come. Although, did they really need to put a 2 in there?

Ready or Not was released in 2019 and became an instant fan favorite.

Starring Samara Weaving, the movie is about a former foster child, Grace, getting married to Alex. After her wedding, she is invited to play a game with her in-laws that ends up being Hide and Seek. However, this innocent game turns out to be a sinister ploy to hunt her down and kill her before dawn to appease Le Bail, a demon. If they do not complete the ritual, the entire family could die.

Of course, Grace survives, and at the end of the movie, we see her sitting in a blood-soaked wedding dress.

In the trailer for the sequel, we witness what happens after the police show up.

Grace is taken to the hospital, where she awakens to find herself handcuffed and then moved to a mansion.

She meets with a man (Elijah Wood) who explains that since she survived the game, she must now play against the High Council families, which consist of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Durand, Néstor Carbonell, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and David Cronenberg.

Grace naturally refuses, but she is then told that her younger sister, Faith (played by Kathryn Newton), will be killed.

This time, the stakes are high, and the winner gets to run the world. So, of course, Grace and Faith go running and hiding around the property.

There is stabbing and smacking people with musical instruments. At one point, we see Sarah Michelle Gellar stab Grace, Buffy the Vampire Slayer style.

At the end of the trailer, we see one of the hunters explode.

Does that mean Grace wins Hide and Seek again and gets to run the world? Will the third part show her organizing her own games?

Written by Guy Busick, and directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME will release on April 10th, 2026.
