Horror Flash Fiction: Never Alone
I waited for that moment until I could see you.
When you didn't come, my days were filled with solitude.
I come to your home at night
and stand by your window.
I can see you lying on your right
Listening to music that's light and slow.
You don't notice me,
Nor do you raise your eyes at me.
I knock on the glass once, then twice
I can feel your curiosity rise.
You seek for me in the empty air
And for the love you know is true and rare.
But you don't find me.
And I don't have a key.
I can't come back to you
After everything we've been through.
I left for the stars
And you never drove again in fast cars.
You blame yourself for that night
And if only we hadn't had that fight.
You didn't see what was right ahead
And you woke up in a hospital bed.
I was gone from you.
My heart was broken in two.
I didn't find the light
I couldn't forget our last fight.
This couldn't be the end of our love
I'll do whatever it takes to rise above.
I'll never leave you from now
No matter how hard it is to stay.
I will give you my vow.
There will never be another day
When I'm apart from you.
I'll always be holding your hand
Against the world, I'll take a stand.
No one can ever make me leave
I'll never let you grieve.
Because I will be here with you forever.
No one else will come close whenever.
My love for you will always stay
And to those who come are bound to stray.
I'll keep them all away
They will never have a say.
You are mine and mine alone
It's the truth that is written in stone.
