April 10th--A Treat For Horror Fans

Four new horror movies... and all of them drop on April 10th!

This is the best surprise a horror fan can get.

Ready or Not 2 was also slated for an April 10th release before it was pushed up to March 10th. We could have had five horror movies releasing on the same date, but now we have four.

1. Faces of Death

Director: Daniel Goldhaber (How to Blow Up a Pipeline)

Writer: Isa Mazzei & Daniel Goldhaber

Cast: Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Charli XCX, Josie Totah, Jermaine Fowler.

Plot Summary: A modern reimagining of the 1978 "mondo" shocker. A female content moderator at a YouTube-like platform discovers a group of people who appear to be re-enacting the murders from the original film. In a world of deepfakes and misinformation, she must determine if the killings are staged or unfolding in real time.

2. The Yeti

Director: Gene Gallerano & William Pisciotta

Writer: Gene Gallerano & William Pisciotta

Cast: Brittany Allen, William Sadler, Corbin Bernsen, Eric Nelsen, Jim Cummings.

Plot Summary: Set in the harsh North Alaskan wilderness, a rescue team searches for a missing oil tycoon and a famous adventurer. They soon discover they are trespassing on the territory of an ancient, prehistoric predator. This film is highly anticipated for its heavy use of practical creature effects rather than CGI.

3. Exit 8

Director: Genki Kawamura (A Hundred Flowers)

Writer: Genki Kawamura & Kentaro Hirase (Based on the game by Kotake Create)

Cast: Kazunari Ninomiya, Yamato Kochi, Nana Komatsu.

Plot Summary: Adapted from the viral "liminal space" video game. A man finds himself trapped in an endless, sterile Japanese subway corridor. He must follow one rule: if he spots any "anomalies" (supernatural glitches), he must turn back immediately. If everything is normal, he proceeds. One mistake resets him to the start of the loop.

4. Bhooth Bangla

Director: Priyadarshan

Writer: Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, & Priyadarshan (Story by Akash Kaushik)

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi.

Plot Summary: A horror-comedy rooted in Indian mythology and black magic. A man (Akshay Kumar) investigates a series of supernatural occurrences in a haunted bungalow. The film is described as a "whodunnit" mystery mixed with high-stakes scares, drawing inspiration from the Vedas and ancient folklore.
