Scary Movie 6--We're Back!

Scary Movie 6 has finally dropped the official trailer, though how many of us have already seen the bootleg trailer dropped by Marlon Wayans himself?

The world could use some laughs right about now, so leave it to the original cast members of the Scary Movie franchise to do it for us.

The franchise began in 2000 as a spoof of Scream and then a parody of other horror movies as well. Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans were the original cast members for at least 2 of the Scary Movies until the Wayans were replaced.

But with Scary Movie 6, we see the return of Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans (director of the first 2 Scary Movies; credited as one of the writers in Scary Movie 6), as well as Damon Wayans, who will be joining his family in this franchise.

Chris Elliott (Scary Movie 2 and 4), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie 1), Cheri Oteri (Scary Movie 1), and Jon Abrams (Scary Movie 1) also returned for Scary Movie 6.

Prepare to be offended because, yes, every line will be crossed.

In the trailer, we see the train scene from Scream 6. M3GAN performs her viral dance before deciding to stab someone. As one of the passengers announces, "she was stabbed," the victim quickly corrects her by using her preferred pronouns.

We then see the Wayans brothers...we're back! Yes, you are!

Next up, we see Tuesday (Wednesday but in pink instead of black. On Wednesdays we wear pink? Mean Girls?) encounter Ghost Face. Will she end up being one of the victims?

Then we finally meet Cindy, who is much older. Her daughter isn't too thrilled to see her and immediately calls out her disheveled look. Cindy quickly smooths out her unkempt hair. The effort does nothing for her.

She then meets with Brenda, who wants to hug her, but Cindy points out that she has changed her political views, which do not allow her to hug her. Brenda throws in a comment about racism that makes Cindy hug her best friend.

We see glimpses of horror movies spoofed like Get Out (the famous tap on the cup scene), Gail and Doofy (parody of Scream Movies), A Smile spoof where Bobby is smacked with a bed pan, Weapons where the kids are running about at 2:17, Chris Elliott has potentially Longlegs, The Substance therapy session, and last but not the least, Art the Clown from the Terrifier movies.

Phew, that's quite a list of movies being spoofed.

According to reports, recent horror movies like Sinners, A Quiet Place, and Heretic may be spoofed, too.

Written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Rick Alvarez, and directed by Michael Tiddes, Scary Movie 6 brings back a large ensemble that includes Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Chris Elliott, Heidi Gardner, Damon Wayans Jr., Felissa Rose, Sydney Park, Kim Wayans, Kai Cenat, and more.

SCARY MOVIE 6 will release on June 5th.
