 Peter Vack’s second feature film www.RachelOrmont.com can best be described as an experimental sci-fi drama, or as Variety puts it: a psychedelic technosatire about growing up in captivity. 

In any case, www.RachelOrmont.com is the kind of movie that is intriguing on its own, and the trailer sparks further curiosity. 

In the trailer, we see a woman with a baby being interviewed. She is being asked to waive her parental rights for a $1000. 

She happily accepts the offer, but then is asked whether she would like to be an employee, because she is being told that she has the makings of a star. From then on, we catch glimpses of the story. 

Rachel in captivity. Her meeting another woman, Darci, who is supposed to be her sister. Her obsessions, hallucinations, and validation of the audience all shape her mental health. 

As per the synopsis, RachelOrmont.com follows Rachel, a young woman raised in a tightly controlled, dystopian environment run by an advertising agency. Her entire world is shaped by branding, consumer messaging, and the constant pressure to perform a curated version of herself.  

With no real human connections, Rachel forms an intense attachment to a popstar known as Mommy 6.0, a relationship built entirely through media and marketing. As Rachel grows older, this connection becomes the emotional center of her life, influencing how she sees herself and the world around her.  

The film uses this exaggerated setup to explore how digital culture, advertising, and online personas can shape identity in unsettling ways. Rather than telling a traditional story, it presents a stylized, experimental look at the impact of living in a world where perception and consumer influence overshadow genuine human experience.

RachelOrmont.com is written and directed by Peter Vack, an American actor and filmmaker known for his interest in experimental, boundarypushing storytelling. His work often blends satire, digitalage commentary, and unconventional narrative structures, which is reflected in the film’s stylistic approach.

The film stars Betsey Brown in the lead role of Rachel Ormont. Brown has collaborated frequently with Vack and is known for taking on emotionally intense, offbeat characters in independent cinema.

The supporting cast includes:

• Chloe Cherry as Mommy 6.0, the pop culture figure who becomes central to Rachel’s worldview
